Story
Have you heard the phrase, a face only a mother could love? Well, let us introduce you to the inspiration for it. Meet Guppy! This little guy may not have won the genetics lottery, but what he lacks in looks he makes up for in charm. He could be a pug mix, he could not be. Perhaps bulldog? Only a DNA test will reveal the truth. Do we really know his age? Could he be 2 or 7, who is to say? He was born without his right eye, has a uniquely shaped head, a major underbite, and an endearing wobbly walk. He came to us from the California Central Valley with a few other pugs after his owner went into a nursing home without a care plan. Guppy is looking for a home where he can chew on toys, lounge the day away, and follow his person like a shadow. Hes crate-trained, and while hes still working on potty training, a consistent routine will help him get back on track after being shuffled around these last few weeks. He's good with confident cats and dogs of all sizes, but we suspect he would be happy as an only-dog, too. If youre searching for a quirky, one-of-a-kind companion, Guppy just might be the pug for you! He's being fostered in Rohnert Park through The Pug Hotel.

Story
Iris is a playful, affectionate girl is the perfect mix of energy and snuggles. Shes crate-trained, still working on potty-training, and gets along great with her foster siblings... both pug and human kids alike. Iris is about a year old, weighs 20 pounds, and has a confident personality. She does well with male dogs or could thrive as the only pup in the home (many female pugs are like that!). She came to us through another rescuer from a home that had too many dogs and not enough resources. Her caregiver realized things had become overwhelming and wanted a safer, better life for her. Shes spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She's ready to find her forever family!

Story
Mac is a sweet, affectionate pug looking for humans who will choose him every time. Hes a child of divorce, and like many little ones whove been through big changes, he needs time and patience to feel secure again. Mac will thrive in a calm home (he's fine around kids, but we think he'd be happiest as the only child at this time), where he can spend his days curled up in your lap, carried in your arms, and following you everywhere. He needs adopters who will prioritize his training, help him understand routines, and steadily build up his confidence so he can finally relax into a life that feels safe and predictable. Hes working on his potty training, is completely indifferent to cats, stays aloof around other dogs, and hasnt yet discovered the joy of toys. If youre looking for a human-obsessed bundle of pure affection who just needs a little guidance and reassurance, Mac is your guy. Like many dogs, he has Medial Patellar Luxation (luxating patella) in one of his legs. This is a common orthopedic issue that can be managed with joint supplements and keeping his weight down; you'll want to monitor for any changes in his walking over the years. He's 18 pounds, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Mac is currently being fostered in Sacramento, CA.

Story
Maggie came to us as an owner surrender due to landlord issues. She is a young pug mix, not sure with what, and can be shy at first but then opens up and loves to be held. She is playful with other dogs, ignores cats and would love a yard to be able to run around in. She has not had any accidents in her foster home, is trying to figure out the dog door (it's a little scary). Leash walking is new to her, but she will get the hang of it soon. She may not be your typical looking pug, but she will definitely be your shadow just like a pug! If you are open to giving her a chance, she will reward you with kisses and lots of love.

Story
Chip is a playful little pug with a big curiosity about the world around him. Everything is exciting when youre Chip, and he approaches life with a happy, bouncy puppy spirit. These brothers are both small with Chip weighing only 12 lbs. Hes incredibly friendly and gets along beautifully with people and other dogs. As a true puppy, he loves to romp around with dog friends and dive into his toy pile with enthusiasm. Chip is a classic pug through and through, which means hell happily follow you from room to room like your own adorable shadow. He loves to play, but once hes gotten his wiggles out, hes just as eager to curl up right beside you for snuggle time. Hes working hard on his potty training and making wonderful progress. With consistent trips outside and plenty of praise, hell keep improving quickly. Chip will be neutered and receive his vaccine boosters on 12/8, and hell be ready for his forever family right after. He and his brother came to us after another rescuer saved them from being sold in a bar in Mexico, and now hes ready for a fresh start filled with love and safety.

Story
Simba is one of the sweetest, silliest pugs youll ever meet. This little guy is all heart: he just wants to be close to his person and soak up every bit of love he can get. Hes on the more submissive side and doesnt play much with other dogs, but he gets along with everyone just fine. Simbas dream home is one filled with attention, activity, and plenty of playtime. He loves playing fetch, enjoys long walks, and is always ready to curl up on the couch for cuddles. At night, he can sleep in a crate as long as a human is nearby, but he cant be crated during the day or in any wire crate (hell try to chew his way out). Hes brushing up on his house manners, like not jumping or begging, and hes showing just how smart and sensitive he is. With the right family, Simba will be an endlessly loyal, goofy, and loving companion. He's getting neutered Tuesday, December 9 and will be vaccinated and microchipped as well. He's being fostered in the Marin area. Simba came to us through another rescuer who saved him from a life in a crate outdoors in Mexico.
