Story
Snowman, our longest resident, has been with us for over a year and a half. Day after day, he watches his friends find their homes, always wondering, “When will it be my turn?”To be completely transparent, Snowman was briefly adopted after he first arrived, but things didn’t work out. He has very clear boundaries that were pushed in his adoptive home, and as a result, he bit someone. So yes, Snowman has a bite history, and he’s not the kind of dog who wants his limits tested. But here’s the thing—he’s not unpredictable. He gives warning signs, and he’s clear about what makes him uncomfortable. Sudden movements? No, thanks. Men? Not really his thing. Strangers? Also a hard pass.We know this may not sound like the easiest sell, but it’s the truth, and it’s something to consider. Snowman has likely been let down before. He was originally found as a stray, and while we don’t know much about his past, it seems like kindness from humans has been rare in his life. But for the right person—someone patient and understanding—Snowman has so much love to give. The way to his heart? WALKS and TREATS. He absolutely loves going on long strolls, and the funny thing is, his stranger danger disappears when he’s out and about. If you take him on a walk or two, he’ll start seeing you as a friend. And food? Let’s just say Snowy has made a few friends over snacks—his little extra fluff proves it! Once he trusts you, he’s all about belly rubs and cuddles.Snowman prefers women over men and would do best in a quiet, adult-only home without a lot of unexpected visitors. His protectiveness seems to be the root of most of his reactivity, but we believe he’s smart and capable of learning with the right training and environment. One thing he has no issues with? Other dogs! He does great with them, enjoys dog parks and the beach, and loves playing with his stuffed animals. Oh, and fun fact: we did a DNA test, and Snowman is about 60% Pug, 20% Chihuahua, and a mix of Poodle and Cocker Spaniel. He’s a special boy who just needs a safe place to land and someone willing to love him for who he is. Could that be you? Inquire today!

Story
Paso's journey hasn't been easy, but he's a resilient dog with a heart full of untapped potential. Found as a stray and brought to a shelter, Paso faced several challenges, including seizures and reactivity towards shelter staff.Recognizing Paso's need for specialized care, the shelter reached out to us. While he was initially reactive with us too, after being with us for nearly a year now and with plenty of time to decompress and adapt, Paso has become a staff favorite! While he still has some anxiety about meeting new people, given time and patience, he warms up beautifully.Paso's seizure disorder is managed with medication, though he experiences occasional break-through seizures which is normal for his condition. An MRI confirmed he has idiopathic epilepsy, so he will need lifelong medication. His future adopter should be prepared to maintain a close relationship with their vet.Paso's journey has left him with some emotional scars, including a bite history. He needs a patient and understanding person to help him heal and build trust. Due to his history of reactivity, Paso cannot be placed in a home with children.Paso is social and does well with other dogs, especially puppies. He loves showing them how to play and cuddle.Paso is very food motivated and eagerly anticipates mealtime, singing and jumping in excitement. He's also a treat sleuth, so keep an eye on your stash! While Paso's journey has been difficult, he is worth every ounce of effort. With your love, patience, and dedication, Paso can bloom into the loving, faithful companion he's meant to be. If you are that special person willing to give Paso the second chance he deserves, please inquire today!

Story
Mamba is a sweet and sensitive 5-year-old boy who found his way to us after his previous owners had a baby and felt he might struggle with the changes in the household. Mamba does have some personality quirks that need a little extra patience and understanding. He’s not fond of sudden movements and prefers not to have his ears touched. When he arrived at the rescue, he had a pretty bad face and ear infection, so it’s possible that some of his reactivity stemmed from pain or discomfort. With a slow, gentle approach and the right space to feel comfortable and safe, Mamba opens up and shows his true, affectionate nature. He’s a wonderful little guy who enjoys the company of people he trusts and gets along well with other dogs. However, due to his sensitivity, he would do best in a home without young children and with someone who can be patient as he learns to trust.Mamba is looking for an experienced, understanding owner who can give him the time and attention he needs to flourish. With the right person, Mamba will truly blossom and become the loving companion he’s meant to be. If you're interested in helping this sweet boy reach his full potential, please inquire today!

Story
Oh, Abigail. There aren’t enough words in the world to capture how special this little girl truly is. She is the embodiment of sweetness—gentle, loving, and endlessly loyal. Abigail was relinquished to us after she was purchased from a backyard breeder and suddenly lost the ability to walk. What followed was a long journey of testing, vet visits, and consultations with specialists, only to discover she has a rare and severe spinal abnormality at T6-T7. Surgery wasn’t a safe option due to how uncommon and complex her condition is, but despite the unknowns, Abigail hasn’t let any of it dim her spirit.Though she cannot use her back legs, Abigail has learned to adapt in her own magical way. Her strong front legs help her scoot around, and she does so with determination, joy, and often a silly little sparkle in her eyes. She doesn’t know she’s any different—and we don’t think she is, either. She plays, snuggles, and seeks out love just like any other pup, and if you let her, she’ll nestle right into your arms and fall asleep with the softest sigh. Abigail would be a perfect companion for someone who works from home, as she thrives on closeness and loves nothing more than being near her person. She adores plush toys and has a playful side, and when puppies come into the rescue, Abigail becomes the honorary big sister—grooming them, cuddling them, and offering the most tender kind of love.Abigail’s care needs are simple: medication to keep her comfortable, gentle handling, and lots of love. She currently goes potty on her own, though it's possible she may need help expressing her bladder in the future. She doesn’t bark, but she makes the sweetest little sounds when she’s excited or happy. A home with someone experienced in caring for special needs dogs would be ideal, but most importantly, she just needs someone who sees her for who she truly is: not broken, not less—but beautiful, brave, and absolutely full of life. Abigail is one of those dogs who leaves a mark on your heart forever. If you believe in soul dogs, she might just be yours. Please inquire today and give this precious girl the life she so deeply deserves!

Story
Say hello to Mei Mei! This adorable little lady came to us after things didn’t quite work out with the other dog in her previous home-she prefers to be the star of the show! She would thrive in a home where she’s the only dog and doesn't have to compete for attention. At about a year and a half old, Mei Mei already carries herself like a seasoned pro, as if she’s been the boss for years!Though she has a confident little personality, Mei Mei can be a bit wary of new people and situations. She just needs a little time to warm up, but once she knows she can trust you, she’ll be your most loyal sidekick. She loves to cuddle and will happily follow her favorite person around like a tiny, devoted shadow. If you’re looking for a pup who will adore you completely (and maybe give you some sass along the way), Mei Mei might be your perfect match!Of course, Mei Mei has her quirks, but with a face that cute, she gets away with just about anything! She’s a one-of-a-kind pup who just wants a loving home where she can be herself. If you’re ready for a little sass, a lot of love, and a forever best friend, Mei Mei is waiting for you. Story
Meet Snug, the sweetest little puppy with a personality as warm as her name! Snug was born right here at our rescue after we took in her mother, a pregnant stray. From day one, she’s been the definition of cuddly, with a soft, affectionate nature that melts hearts wherever she goes. As she grows, she’s blossoming into a playful and curious little one who’s ready to find a family to share her love. She's a mix of about 50% pug and 50% pittie, and she's completely perfect. Full of curiosity, playfulness, and gentle affection, Snug loves to explore her world—whether she’s tumbling around with her siblings, playing with her favorite toy, or snuggling up for a cozy nap.As a young puppy, Snug will need a dedicated adopter who can provide the training, attention, and patience she needs to grow into a confident and well-mannered dog.
