Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, January 25th from 12-3pm or until adopted. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.       Adoption Fee: $750   The Ski puppies are a litter of 12 week old Pug mixes who are ready to hit the slopes with their new families! These babies came into our rescue at a month old with Mama Ski Bunny after being surrendered to the shelter, which is no place for a little family. We sprung into action and got them into a foster home, where they grew up into amazing little puppies. Heavenly weighs 7.2 lbs and will likely stay below 20 lbs when full grown.     Heavenly (F): Heavenly is ready to bring rays of sunshine and days of powder to her forever people! Unlike her boisterous siblings, Heavenly is most commonly found curled up with her humans as they chill on the couch. She does love to play, but she’s more likely to sniff around the yard and find sticks than get in the middle of a wrestling match. Like a baby, she plays peek-a-boo which is absolutely delightful. Heavenly loves rolling over and placing a tiny paw on your arm as you scratch behind her ears. She learned quickly that her puppy dog eyes and model poses can get her just about anything her heart desires, and she uses that power to get all the snuggles and treats! Ready to tackle all the black diamonds? Bring Heavenly and she will bless your ride!  Tahoe (M): Tahoe is an outgoing and loving gentleman who steals the spotlight wherever he goes! Tahoe loves giving kisses and rolls onto his back like a rolly polly whenever he thinks it’s time for more belly rubs (which is always). The only thing our boy loves more than snacks… is his people! Tahoe loves trotting behind his humans, tumbling over his adorable paws as he scrambles to keep up with the action. Tahoe has tons of puppy energy and loves to play, especially with stuffed toys and sticks he finds. Once our boy has gotten all his energy out, he is ready for a well-deserved snooze in your lap. We know that Tahoe would be the talk of any ski trip, as he tries to set a world record for fastest snowflake catching!      The Ski puppies wake up around 7 AM and get served breakfast as their pen is cleaned out. Once they finish eating, they are herded outside for potty and playtime. During the day, they cycle between playing with toys, cuddling with their foster humans, getting their zoomies out, and napping in an adorable pile. They eat again at 12 PM and 5 PM. In the evening, the pups get some one-on-one snuggle time with their foster humans as they start to unwind from the day. They go out for one last potty practice and then trot into their pen for the night by 10 PM.  The Ski puppies have been well socialized with dogs of all ages and sizes since they came into rescue. They love meeting new humans, young and old, and are the talk of every gathering. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss plans for continued training and socialization. The pups are all super food motivated so training should be a breeze! If you’re ready to grab a day pass for adventure, pick up a Ski puppy today!      The Ski puppies are only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Kids should be over the age of 5.January 30, 2025, 6:03 pm

If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $800   Phoebe is a 10 month old Pug mix who is ready to be your new best friend for life! Phoebe was rescued from the shelter with some of her Friends friends (get it?) after being found on the street as a stray. We knew this petite princess needed a soft place to land so we scooped her up and placed her in one of our incredible foster homes. She’s gotten all the love and cuddles she could ever want and now she’s ready to head off on her next adventure! Phoebe weighs 12 pounds and is just the perfect size for snuggles! Come pick up our gal Phoebe today and start your fabulous adventure.     Phoebe is full of love and personality and she can’t wait to show the world what she’s made of! From the day she pranced into her foster home, she has been a complete delight, charming everyone she meets. Phoebe loves cuddles and is frequently found lounging on any available lap or blanket. Phoebe adores her people and follows them around… unless there are toys to toss or another dog to play with. She adores her canine foster siblings and they play the day away. Phoebe would be a fabulous companion for someone who works from home, as she will keep you company during boring meetings with her playful antics. She has an ever-growing collection of toys she would love to continue amassing with you! This girl knows that she is adorable and is ready to live a life of luxury by your side! With her heart-melting puppy dog eyes, Phoebe is ready to charm you from the moment you lay eyes on her!   Phoebe wakes up around 6:30 AM and goes right outside for potty. She hangs out on the couch while her foster mom gets ready for the day before enjoying her breakfast at 7:30 AM. During the day, she has a full run of the downstairs and the yard with her foster siblings and it’s an endless cycle of playing and napping and cuddling. She goes on a walk in the late afternoon and then settles down with her toys for a few hours until she eats dinner at 7 PM. In the evening, she lounges on the couch and gets all the cuddles until she goes out for one last potty and then bed.  Phoebe currently lives with two dogs and has a blast playing with them. She loves meeting new humans of all ages, as she’s learned they usually come with yummy snacks for her! Phoebe walks very well on a leash and is potty trained. She also knows how to use a doggy door! Our girl Phoebe is ready to live her best life and we know she will be the best addition to her lucky forever people. Make today ‘The One Where You Meet Your New Best Friend’ and adopt Phoebe!      Phoebe is an option for homes with prior dog owning experience.
