Story
Maverick is an 8-year-old purebred English Bulldog with a white and fawn coat. He is lazy and stubborn but is house-trained. Maverick loves cats and other dogs, even though they usually do not reciprocate his affection. He’s a big goofball who often runs into things. The main reason for rehoming Maverick is that we don’t have enough time to spend with him or care for his needs. He suffers from significant skin issues, which result in frequent hot spots that he scratches until they bleed. As our children have gotten older and become involved in various sporting events, my husband and I find ourselves away from home more often due to our demanding jobs. It breaks my heart to consider rehoming Maverick, but I feel like I’m failing him by not being able to give him the time or the resources necessary to properly manage his skin condition. He is on a monthly flea and heartworm preventative. He was crate trained as a puppy, his crate is his safe space. He gets scared during storms/fireworks.
