Onyx is a beautiful little buy! He loves to run his heart out as fast as he can! He gets the zoomies often! He is so smart and learns new tricks almost immediately. He is looking for his furever home with a loving family that has time to play and have fun with him. He loves to be held. He literally will let you hold him all day. Love little kids, kisses and to work for treats. He wasn’t to make his owner happy at all time s but he can get a little xxxx@xxxx.x wants to cuddle in the bed. He is house trained , doggy door trained, crate trained.. he will make the perfect addition to any family that has live in their hearts for a pug. He doesn’t shed at hardly at all if any. So he would be good for those with allergies. Onyx was bitten by a big dog but has made a 100% perfect recovery and loves to play with other dogs! Would like for the new owners to have a fenced area so he can run and play freely as well. Please do not adopt if other dogs in the home is not 100% dog friendly.

Story
Meet Valentina, an extra-calm senior gal who’s looking for a second chance at a loving forever home — ideally a calm oasis where she can live out her golden years. This 8-year-old bulldog/hound mix was originally adopted from our rescue in 2019. She spent six years as part of a big family with kids, dogs and cats. Through no fault of her own, Valentina was recently given away and then taken to a shelter, where she was thankfully traced back to the rescue.  None of it makes any sense to us or Valentina. She is truly the easiest dog. She’s friendly but super polite and gentle. She’ll wag her tail for you, but would never jump up to fight for your attention. She’s the type of dog you might forget is even there because she’s so relaxed. She’s of course potty trained and is not destructive at all, so she wouldn’t need to be crated.  Valentina is a 60-ish-pound couch potato who just needs a soft place to land. She still has a lot of love to give and life to live, and we hope her true forever family has been out there waiting for her all these years.  If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!
