Story
.Hi, my name is Athena and I’m a 3 year old mastiff mix. After being abandoned by my former “owners” I’m looking for a best friend(s) that will share their loving forever home with me. My two favorite things in all the world are my people and toys. I may be a bigger gal, but I’m very gentle and sweet with my people - I love to cuddle and to share my toys and bones with them. I love toys so much that I get jealous when another dog is playing with one, so I would do best in a home where I can have ALL the toys (either be the only dog, or be with a calm, easy going dog). After being abandoned, I’ve been feeling a little anxious and can be a little nervous in new environments. So, I’d love a calm home that can provide me with the structure and guidance I need to continue building my confidence. I currently don’t live with kids or cats, but have done well interacting with older kids at events. I visited some cats recently and showed a little too much interest, so would probably do best if my forever home didn’t have cats. I walk well on a transitional lead and love to spend time hanging out in my crate. I’m ready to be your loving, devoted, best friend forever. I hope you’ll consider adding me to your family.
