Story
Willkommen, Klaus! Klaus is a stunning Pomsky (Pomeranian and Husky cross) who was surrendered to PK due to landlord issues. Klaus just celebrated his 1st birthday on January 6 and weighs around 23 lbs. Klaus is very high energy and really likes human attention. He is crate-trained and enjoys playing with hard toys, as he likes to chew. Klaus is working on his leash walking skills. Half-Husky, Klaus likes to run and will need a home that ensures he stays safe and secure (e.g., always on a leash, fenced yard, no doors left open, etc.). Klaus gets along with other dogs, has spent time with young children, and can be cat-tested. Klaus will do best in a home that gives him lots of activity and attention. Story
Milo has been with us for over 4 yrs., since he was a 6 week puppy. He was a wedding gift from my husband to me so you can imagine how difficult it is for us to have to rehome him. Milo is a good boy and extremely playful. Milo was diagnosed with seizures last year. He’s been on medications since then and does really well with them. My husband has been working a lot and now I will be rejoining the workforce as well. We have 2 toddlers that keep us busy so unfortunately we are unable to provide Milo with the time and support he needs due to our busy schedules. We also live in a small condo and our neighbor is a grinch. We are looking to rehome Milo to a family that is willing to care for him and shower him with love. We just want him to find his forever home and are willing to assist with his meds.

Story
Alphais a very silly and playful dog and is affectionate in his own way. He is very independent and likes doing things on his own, but will still need you from time to time (his husky side coming out lol) he is the most loyal and fun dog who is also good with other animals and kids as well! His birthday is 5/2/22 and he loves the snow. He loves going on long walks and sniffing everything. He gets along with the other animals whenever we go to dog parks. It will never be a boring day with him !

Story
Meet Charlotte (aka Charlie)!  This little lady is an adorable 7 year old Pomeranian mix (our best guess). She is a little plump right now at 16lbs. Charlie was surrendered by her owner for unknown reasons and is a little nervous with the recent changes to her world. Despite her worries, she is polite, friendly and eager to follow her new human friends around the house, especially if they’re providing treats and scratches. She enjoys hanging on the couch with her people and napping comfortably throughout the day.    Charlie is great on the leash, is crate trained, housebroken on a schedule and sleeps well throughout the night. She doesn’t mind other dogs but prefers having some personal space and time to relax. Based on her calm personality, we think she would likely leave cats alone and prefer a kid-free home.  She would enjoy a quiet home and a family who will be dedicated to getting her down to a healthy weight.   If you are interested in this little girl, who would love to settle into a forever family who will truly keep her forever, please email us at almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com.  (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 11, 2025, 4:51 pm
