Story
Hi! My name is Rocky. I am a very sweet boy with lots of energy and I love to talk. When I arrived at the shelter my owner mentioned to the staff that I have had a couple incidents with livestock and small animals as huskies typically do. This is not abnormal for huskies; huskies have a very high prey drive. Please keep in my that if you are adopting, I should NOT be housed with small animals such as cats and should not be able to encounter livestock whether it be yours or your lovely neighbors.INSIGHTS FROM MY DOG DAY OUT ADVENTURE BUDDIES:`Rocky recently enjoyed a fantastic day out with us, and he couldn`t have been more well-behaved. He hopped into the car without hesitation and sat calmly for the entire ride. At our house, he was curious yet relaxed, watching us as we cooked and ate breakfast without begging for food—just chilling happily nearby.Rocky is a true people pup, particularly fond of my husband, always eager to follow us around and soak up affection. Later, we took him to Blackwood Park for a long walk on the trails. Rocky loved exploring the scents, and while he was excited to greet a couple of other dogs, we kept a safe distance. He walked wonderfully on the leash and listened attentively to our cues.If you`re looking for a loving, active and well-mannered companion, Rocky is ready to join your family!``Rocky was an angel on the leash. He did not pull, he paused and acknowledged children, deer, squirrels, and other dogs (kept an eye on them) and then kept walking. He was calm and wants to go on longer walks outside. Did great in the car, very neatly ate his pup cup all by himself. Very sweet and beautiful dog, excellent companion.`
