Story
Scout is a 4-year-old shepherd/husky mix who thrives as an only pet. He’s affectionate, playful, and loves short walks, lounging outside, and being with his people. We adopted Scout in 2020, and he has lived with our other dogs since then. However, after my husband's passing in December, he has become aggressive toward them out of jealousy. To keep everyone safe, we need to find him a home where he can be the center of attention. Scout is neutered, 65 lbs, up to date on shots, and healthy. He gets car sick, but Trazodone (100 mg) helps. He’s a great dog—he just needs a home without other pets. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, Scout could be the perfect fit! Please reach out to learn more.

Story
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Lil Hello, I'm Lil, a sweet pup with a tale of resilience and hope. Not long ago, I was wandering the vast desert with my siblings, unsure of what tomorrow might bring. But then, a kind-hearted team from Central Arizona Animal Rescue gave me a chance at a new life. I'm a young girl, just a little over a year old, and life's been quite the adventure so far. I've never really known the warmth of a home or the joy of a leisurely walk on a leash, but I'm eager to learn! With some yummy treats and your gentle encouragement, I'm sure to pick up all the house manners quickly. My brother Phil is my rock; where he leads, I follow. He's taught me it's okay to play and explore this big, exciting world. I've been spayed, vaccinated, and even microchipped, so I'm all set for our journey together. I might be a bit shy at first, especially around new furry friends, and while I haven't met any cats or small children yet, I promise to be gentle with older kids who understand that I need a little time to come out of my shell. Are you the patient, loving family I've been dreaming of? Let's find out together! E-mail mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment to meet me. Come visit me and let's start our forever friendship.   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dogs are adopted on a first come - first served basis. Central Arizona Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation. We are located in San Tan Valley, AZ. If you have other dogs already, you must bring them for introduction prior to adoption.
