Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. About Me: Name: Punchy Breed (or best guess): Mixed Approximate Age:  Birthday 7/9/11, 13 years Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 6 lb Adoption Fee: $400 Requirements: Loving family, no young kids Why In Rescue: Owner surrender Profile:  Punchy was surrendered by her family that could no longer keep her.  She is a senior girl, and has some vision loss so can get nervous with hand movements around her face.  She is an adorable girl and her family loved her a lot.  We were told she is housetrained and walks on a leash and rides well in the car.  She doesn't like it when the cats try to eat her food, so feeding in a crate or separate room may be best if you have other animals.  Punchy deserves a good retirement home where she can be the princess she is. Punchy is in a foster home so we are learning a bit more about her.  She prefers men over women, will sit by them for hours.  As a senior lady, she knows what she likes and dislikes, and isn't afraid to let you know her opinion.  She is a picky eater but we are working on finding a food that she enjoys.  If you sit on the floor, she will happily lay near you.  We are hoping to find a home where little Punchy can thrive during her senior years. About Me: Name: Aadi Breed (or best guess): Pomeranian Approximate Age: 4 yr Gender: Male Approximate Weight: 12 lb Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Fenced yard, patient adopter Why In Rescue: puppy mill survivor Profile:   Aadi came from a commercial breeder/puppy farmer who was no longer going to use him for breeding.  Aadi is a friendly guy who is progressing nicely past his puppy mill days.  He will need work on walking on a leash, so a fenced yard or potty area is best.  He will need help with housetraining.  While he would love to live with other dogs, he may do fine as an only dog.  If interested please fill out the adoption application. Dogs from commercial breeders are generally undersocialized (often very scared/shy/skittish) and probably never lived in a house.  They will need to learn things like how to walk on a leash, go up stairs, and what things like a television are.  They need a patient adopter who will give them the time they need to adjust and to learn to trust people.  Every baby step forward needs to be celebrated, and the dog needs to be accepted for who they are at each step.  Some dogs can adjust quickly and learn how to be a loved pet pretty easily.  Others can take a long time to even be comfortable with things like walking through the house and being in the same room as a person.  No matter how far and how fast the breeder dogs progress, they are wonderful dogs and deserve a great home after their life on the puppy farm.  A fence or at least a secure fenced in potty area is highly recommended for the dog's safety, and may be required for some dogs.  Another small dog in the house can also help many former breeders adjust faster to life in a home, and also may be required in some cases.  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. Hey there! We're Charlie and Patches, a lovable duo looking for our forever home. Charlie is a 20-pound male Pomeranian and Chihuahua mix (black), while Patches is a 30-pound male Maltese mix (white), We're both neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and estimated to be around 13-14 years old. We're a bonded pair, so we come as a package deal for an adoption fee of $350. We're still working on house training, but we're getting better every day. Both of us are crate trained and learning to walk on a leash. Patches enjoys walking with Charlie, and we both get super excited when we see other dogs on our walks. We love running around in the fenced backyard and cuddling up on the couch at night. We're currently staying with our fosters and we love sleeping on the couch. ** Apartments NOT recommended **Meet Ruby, a 20 lb Pomeranian mix with the absolute softest fur and an adorable face that looks perpetually concerned (which she might actually be). While it takes her a while to warm up, once she does she`s not afraid to demand pets and snuggle up with her person. She`s working hard on potty training but keeps her crate clean and goes in when asked. She`s dog friendly and loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home, but could also be an only dog. Because she has a lot to say about being separated from her people, apartments are not recommended. If you`re willing to give her the time and patience she needs to get comfortable, she`ll be the sweetest little best friend to you.
