Story
Candy is a 7-year-9-month old Pomeranian mix weighing 13 pounds. She came to the shelter as an owner surrender. Candy is a special girl who needs a special home. She's experienced trauma and neglect from humans in her past which has made her a bit nervous with men and new people. She is very submissive and will pee every time someone leans over her or she thinks she's going to be picked up. She is happiest when you are down on her level and wants to be in your lap. She LOVES playing fetch with her favorite toy, she will play endlessly, her face lights up and she just loves it! She is good on leash and is always excited and happy to be outside. Treat motivated. Good with cats. Cage/kennel aggressive, due to the amount of time she has spent in a cage/kennel she now hates it and will become aggressive when caged. She has a grade 3 luxating patella on her rear left leg, does not seem to cause pain or discomfort, or slow her down. History of UTI and crystals. Her adoption fee is $150, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. Her dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet her, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application feeCome and meet your new best friend today! I wanted a smaller dog and have always loved Pomeranians. He is adorable and an amazing puppy, but my older dog has epilepsy and he is not doing well with the change.

Story
To meet Prince please contact his consultant Rachael by texting +1 (440) 773-0270 Prince is a sweet 5-year old Pomeranian who responds well to the praise of his people. He gets excited when told "you're such a good boy. He is a smart boy who is learning quickly. Having been a puppymill daddy, life in a home and experiences outdoors were new for him. Housebreaking is coming along well. Having a daily routine has worked wonders. His leash manners are great. He loves his daily walk, but is startled by big trucks and noisy vehicles. He is a very timid boy and tries to find ways to escape from new scary places, so a secured fenced in yard is required. He is crate trained for "bedtime with a treat for going in. He does bark and howl at night, however he's told firmly "no barking" after the crate is closed, classical music CD turned on, and that's doing the trick. His fenced in yard gives him freedom to run around and play with his host dog. He was noticed sniffing around for a hole in the fence, so "heads up on that. He knows his name, but sometimes chooses to ignore and dash off in the yard. He's getting better at coming when called and responds to a tiny treat reward. He has met the host cat, sniffed at it and turned away. Cuddling is unusual for him, but the more experience he has while sitting with his people, the sooner he'll trust and get cozy. He needs to have some extra lovin' and be told "no barking during thunderstorms. It helps calm him.
