Story
There is no denying that this little darling is adorable! His mom is a Pomeranian and his dad is a Chihuahua mix. He's very petite and will stay small. He loves to play with the other dogs and he's in an amazing foster home in Memphis, Tennessee, where she gets Around the clock socialization. Once adopted, he will travel on Rescue Vet Transport to his new forever family. They travel to the Midwest once, sometimes twice a month and to the north east each and every weekend, leaving Memphis, Tennessee, Friday morning, and delivering as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Application has been submitted and approved, her foster mom, Michele, would be happy to speak with you about him send videos, photos, etc. If you would like to make him a part of your family, please follow the link below to our adoption application. Keep in mind Transport is an additional $185. Additionally, our Volunteer team is very responsive , so please refrain from submitting your application until you're prepared to welcome your new furry friend. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Wren's adoption fee is $400 and he is being fostered in Central Ohio. He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper parvo, canine influenza, and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention. He has also had a dental cleaning. Wren came into rescue through no fault of his own on his owner could no longer care for him. He loves his people and he loves to go for walks on a leash. He also loves to cuddle and receive belly rubs.  He does well on house training if kept on the schedule. Wren did have to cut back on some treats just a bit when he came into rescue, but his weight loss is going well and he is a taking it like a real champ. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  November 3, 2024, 12:56 pm

Story
🐾 Meet Bugs Moran 🐾👑 The Old SoulBugs Moran is the oldest of the 13 dogs we rescued from a hoarding situation, and this distinguished senior is around 10+ years old. Despite being blind, his spirit hasn’t dimmed a bit, and he’s overflowing with love for people! ❤️🐶Findings from his foster home include-he does get along with other dogs but prefers them to not try and play with him. He's older and he's blind so he gets nervous when dogs try to play with him. They do feed him separately, so he never feels he is in competition for his food anymore. Bugs Moran barks when he knows you are close, but he can't find you out of excitement and probably a little frustration that he can't find you. He does sleep quietly every night and spends most of his day snuggled up on a dog bed or playing with dog toys. He loves greenie chews. Due to his barking, and it's loud, we do not recommend him for any kind of home living where you share walls with other tenants. 🚶 Leash-Trained ExplorerBugs is one-of-a-kind—he’s the only dog from his group who is leash-trained, and he loves his walks. He gets around just fine, though he may bump into things now and then. 🌳🐾🐩 Possible Pomeranian-Poodle MixWith his ginger coat and silvered face, Bugs might be a charming Pomeranian and Poodle mix. He’s a little fluffball at 21 lbs, quiet until he hears you nearby—then, his excitement bubbles up, and he can’t help but let out a bark or two! 🧡🎉🚽 House Training NeedsBeing that Bugs Moran has not been neutered yet, so he still wants to mark in the home. Thankfully belly bands are an easy solution as he waits for his neuter appointment. As he has scent has naturally been added to his foster home from living there his marking is getting less and less. 🏠💧 He is house trained though, he never potties in the home ever. Marking is a separate issue from peeing in the house. 👨‍👩‍👧 Best FitBugs Moran would thrive in a quiet, loving home with children 12+ and calm, gentle dogs. Since he was previously kept separate from the other dogs, he’s not a fan of young pups who bark or jump, as he can’t see them coming. 🐾🚫🌅 Retirement DreamBugs Moran is more than ready for his well-deserved retirement home, where he’ll finally get the love and peace he deserves. Let’s help this resilient senior find his perfect family! 🛋️💙 Bugs Moran may be an older gentleman but he's still pretty active and can easily trip a person up and wrap around them with his leash. Bugs Moran's adoption fee is $150, he is vaccinated, flea & tick treated, microchipped, tested negative for heartworm and Lyme and will be neutered on Friday, Nov. 8th. You can apply online for him at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sr2794&method=online_form_html&formid=21BUGS MORAN IS IN A FOSTER HOME SO AN APPOINTMENT WILL NEED TO BE MADE TO MEET HIM. HE CANNOT LEAVE UNTIL SATURDAY NOVEMNBER 8.
