Story
Meet Maxi, a smart and spirited 2-year-old, 15-pound Pomeranian with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Maxi is looking for a single human to call his own—a best friend to share his days filled with love, training, and adventure. This clever boy knows a range of commands, including sit, lie down, come, go, and stay. Maxi loves nothing more than a good walk, some birdwatching, or tackling a feeder puzzle to show off his smarts. At home, he’s a snuggly companion who enjoys relaxing by your side and happily tolerates baths and paw handling. Maxi is tolerant of strangers but can sometimes react to them, so he’ll benefit from a patient and understanding owner who can continue his training. Because he has a tendency to bark, Maxi can be a bit of a barker, so apartment life isn't for him. Maxi’s previous home wasn’t the right match for his needs, but he’s learned so much and is eager to bring his charm and energy to the perfect forever home. He will be neutered before adoption. If you’re ready to welcome a bright, loyal companion into your life, Maxi could be the perfect fit for you! ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. Story
Meet Haesol❤️ After roaming for an unknown period of time, Haesol entered a local temple in search of food and refuge. Fortunately, the monks took good care of Haesol, but there were cats in the temple that they had tended, so they were unable to continue caring for him. Haesol was rescued thanks to the efforts of an Adogs volunteer who learned about the situation. * Toward People: Shows curiosity about strangers, even if they're new to him! Shows interest but doesn't enjoy being touched. Relaxes with familiar people. * Toward Dogs:He accepts doggy friends who come up to him rather than approaching first. He stays still when they approach rather than playing or reacting. * Separation Anxiety: He doesn't have separation anxiety in the house and usually sleeps even when he is with other dog friends. When he is confined to an unfamiliar place, such as a kennel or hotel room, he barks demandingly after about 10 minutes, but in his comfortable home, he doesn't bark at all. * Potty Training: He's good at peeing on a pad when he's at home, and he's good when he goes outside, but he prefers to do his poops outside. * Hygiene: Is terrified and dislikes bathing, either because he is not used to it or because of his hump on the body. * Walks: He walks well without pulling on the leash. Sometimes he goes where he wants to go, but if you give him a little tug on the leash, he will follow. * Car sickness: He doesn't like to ride in cars and sometimes barks. * He doesn't bark at all, except once in a while when the leash is tightened to show his discomfort. * He doesn't like to have his paws touched, so he barks and runs around, and he gets scared when there's a sudden loud noise, like a bus. * He has a calm and relaxed nature. At home, he is very relaxed and not very interested in toys. He is very curious and enjoys going for walks. ❗Health Status❗ - Is scheduled for tooth scaling. - Has some spinal stenosis, thus his gait is slightly unstable. However, his condition does not require surgery. - The surgery to remove the lump has been completed. The liver is inflamed and needs to be managed while the eyes have nuclear sclerosis. - He has a lipoma on his instep that has been bleeding, and is being watched carefully if there is continued bleeding. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @easystar_imbo

Story
This sweet girl has been through a lot in her roughly 7 years of life… Completely discarded at a Korean shelter ad saved on the day she was supposed to be put down… Carmel is a little fighter. She’s only 10 lbs and so so gentle. She is very food motivated as well. She sleeps next to the fosters bed in her own dog bed at night. She prefers women to men (was probably abused by a man.) She is just looking for a calm home with a lot of love. Someone who understands she has been through trauma and loves her unconditionally. She will be slow to warm up but has so much love to give. She beat heart-worm, is now healthy and also had a mammary gland removed. If you live in the USA, please apply to adopt her! She can be flown in to many international airports throughout the country.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Princess Apricot, your soon-to-be best friend! Princess Apricot (NY) is an adorable female Schnauzer/Pomeranian mix, estimated to be 7-9 months old as of late February 2025. This sweet girl was heartbreakingly surrendered to a shelter after her family's landlord evicted her. But don't let her past bring you down—Princess Apricot is ready to start a new chapter filled with love and laughter! Princess Apricot has a gentle soul and has lived harmoniously with three children aged 9 and up, playing gently and joyfully with them. She’s also a social butterfly with other dogs, always up for a fun playdate! At first, she might seem a bit shy around new faces, but she warms up quickly and soon becomes your loyal companion. Despite her medium size, Princess Apricot believes she’s a lap dog and loves nothing more than to cuddle up in your lap or be carried around like the royalty she is. Her affectionate nature will melt your heart in no time! This lovely pup is up to date on her core vaccinations (age-appropriate) and is microchipped. She will be spayed before she joins her forever family, unless there’s a medical reason to delay it—in that case, RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure it's done at the right time. Princess Apricot is wonderful with people, kids, and other dogs. She would do best in a home with another dog and a fenced yard. Princess Apricot is looking for a loving home where she can grow up feeling like a true princess. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to Princess Apricot, please apply online to adopt Princess Apricot (NY) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. Let this sweet princess bring joy, warmth, and lots of cuddles into your life! Given technical constraints of this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 3, 2025, 1:08 am
