Story
Prince is a 1-year-old adorable Pomeranian mix. This little guy is bursting with energy and adores playing with his toys, running around with his doggy friends, and soaking up affection from his favorite people. He’s friendly, social, and gets along well with other dogs, making him a great companion for a home with a resident pup. While Prince is affectionate and loves to cuddle once he feels safe, he can be a bit skittish around quick movements and needs a patient, gentle approach to build trust when being handled. With time and consistency, he blossoms into a loyal and loving companion. Prince sleeps quietly in his crate. He is making great progress with leash training and enjoys his walks, but continued positive reinforcement will help him gain even more confidence. Prince would do best in an adult-only home or with children 13 and older who understand how to respect his space. Whether he’s the only dog or joins a home with a well-matched canine friend, Prince is ready to find a family who will help him grow into the confident, happy pup he’s meant to be.

Story
Born in May 2015, these tiny brothers have spent their lives side by side, and now they’re looking for a forever home where they can stay together. Jacob is a bundle of energy and joy! He loves nothing more than zooming around to show off his speed and engaging with his favorite toys. Initially shy around kids, Jacob quickly warms up once he realizes the endless opportunities for belly rubs and attention. He’s a true cuddle enthusiast who could happily soak up affection for hours. Jacob also loves the great outdoors and will eagerly join you for walks or car rides, ready to explore the world with you by his side. Esau is the yin to Jacob’s yang, bringing a calm and reserved presence to the duo. While he may take some time to come out of his shell, once he does, he’s as loyal and loving as they come. Esau appreciates his personal space and thrives in a setting where he can feel safe and secure, with his own cozy corner to retreat to. His favorite pastimes include curling up for naps and lounging on his human’s lap - the ultimate companion for a relaxing day. Jacob and Esau would do best in a calm, loving environment with a family that understands and appreciates their unique personalities. If you’re ready to welcome this charming duo into your heart and home, Jacob and Esau will reward you with unconditional love, laughter, and loyalty. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Not good with kids,
Story
Meet Maxi, a smart and spirited 2-year-old, 15-pound Pomeranian with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Maxi is looking for a single human to call his own—a best friend to share his days filled with love, training, and adventure. This clever boy knows a range of commands, including sit, lie down, come, go, and stay. Maxi loves nothing more than a good walk, some birdwatching, or tackling a feeder puzzle to show off his smarts. At home, he’s a snuggly companion who enjoys relaxing by your side and happily tolerates baths and paw handling. Maxi is tolerant of strangers but can sometimes react to them, so he’ll benefit from a patient and understanding owner who can continue his training. Because he has a tendency to bark, Maxi can be a bit of a barker, so apartment life isn't for him. Maxi’s previous home wasn’t the right match for his needs, but he’s learned so much and is eager to bring his charm and energy to the perfect forever home. He will be neutered before adoption. If you’re ready to welcome a bright, loyal companion into your life, Maxi could be the perfect fit for you! ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Story
Panini is an 8-year-old male toy Pomeranian with a heart as big as his fluffy coat! This tiny boy is the definition of a cuddle bug—he just wants to be held and will happily stay in your arms as long as you'll let him. Panini is dog and cat friendly, making him a great addition to a multi-pet home. However, due to his small size and delicate frame, an all-adult home would be best for him. He thrives on companionship and may get a little barky when left alone, so a house (rather than an apartment) where he won't disturb neighbors would be ideal. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate, and devoted little companion, Panini might just be your perfect match! Could you be the one to give this tiny treasure the forever home he deserves? Story
Possum showed up at a high kill shelter in Texas with a broken leg - mostly likely hit by a car. Despite that, she is very sweet. She is now in a Northstar foster home in Texas so we can get her the medical attention she needs. The priority will be repairing her leg, of course.    Possum is 7 years old and 12 pounds. She has a heart murmur but doesn’t require medicine at this time.    If you want to bring into your life a little dog who really needs your love and spoiling, please consider Possum. If you would like to meet her, please fill out an adoption application to adopt this little nugget at www.northstarpets.org and ask for POSSUM TX.  February 27, 2025, 4:21 pm
