Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rocky is a handsome boy who is looking for a home. Rocky came to us as part of an owner surrender. A family had a few Pomeranians and Shih Tzus and after a few accidental litters, they reached out for help. Rocky is friendly and calm. It takes him a few moments to warm up to new friends but he is a very sweet pup. He is dog friendly, seems ok with cats and crate trained. His foster is working on housebreaking. Since he came from a home with several other dogs, he would likely prefer a home with other dogs. Our foster will work to assess this.Rocky’s foster family says he’s an awesome little guy!. He’s cool, chill, and doesn’t ask for anything but to be next to people and cuddle. Yet he also likes his independence and will just take a nap off by himself when feeling it. Rocky is good with dogs and cats and he loves children… he loves anyone he meets. He doesn’t seem to mind being in his crate and he’s doing great with his potty training and seems to be picking up on the routine quickly. Each pup received a rabies and DHPP vaccine, treatment for internal and external parasites and was tested for heartworm (negative). We are working to schedule their spay/neuter and microchip asap. They will be given the bordetella vaccine then too. His adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! Story
Meet Archie! Archie is a 5-6 year old male Pomeranian who was rescued from being found left in a dumpster. Now safe at Husky House, Archie is looking for his loving forever home. Unfortunately, Archie has had a few seizures since arriving at Husky House, so he takes medication twice daily to help manage them. Poor Archie is very nervous around people, which is understandable given his history. He does not go out of his way to snap, but may growl or get snappy when people do not respect his boundaries (e.g. try to pick him up when he is uncomfortable). Archie does well with other small dogs. He has never been cat tested but would be expected to do well with cats as he is small and not overly playful. Interested in adopting Archie? Please visit www.huskyhouse.org today to fill out an application.January 7, 2025, 9:58 pm

Story
Meet Willow! Willow is a pomsky puppy who is looking for her loving forever home. She was saved from a puppy mill along with her two littermates, and like many puppy mill survivors, is fearful of people but shows no aggression despite her fear. Willow is great with other dogs and needs a home with at least one well-adjusted dog to help her gain confidence and learn “how to dog.” Willow is learning to walk on leash would do best in a home with a very secure, fenced-in yard that she cannot escape from (e.g. no small holes under the fence that could be crawled through). We would recommend keeping Willow on a long leash when outside to make sure that she can be safely brought back inside when playtime is over. Willow is crate trained. Apply to adopt Willow at www.huskyhouse.org.January 7, 2025, 9:35 pm

Story
Hansel is a 14 Year Old Pomeranian whose elderly owners could no longer care for him. Now, a previous adopter of our organization reached out, knowing she could trust us to find Hansel the loving home he deserves in his senior years. Hansel is both friendly with people and other dogs and even cats. He is not incredibly demanding insofar as his energy goes, but he greets the day by leaping excitedly and is really pretty high-energy for an elderly do (true to his Pomeranian nature). Hansel loves attention and isn't afraid to make his voice heard. Hansel would thrive in a low-key home with people who are around most of the time, as that is the environment he came from. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines.  ##2122341##
