Yes, his name is Splinter. Like.. the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' wise sensei and father. Does he not look exactly like the character?!Splinter may be categorized as a senior at 10-ish years old, but he is as young at heart as those wily teenagers! He loves to play tug o' war with toys, going on walks, and constantly rolling over for belly rubs. (He does also enjoy many naps throughout the day - a jack of all trades, really.)He is hilariously vocal and will grumble or bark when he thinks you should be giving him all your attention. Splinter is also an excellent security system, so a home without shared walls (no apartments/townhomes) will be required. This 9-pound little dude currently lives with small dogs his size. He does well coexisting, but will also play if given the chance! His tail goes about a million miles per hour when excited! He is willing to meet a big dog to see if they can be roomies. One who has experience with small dogs is a bonus!Splinter has met a couple of cats briefly and is willing to meet any resident cats to ensure all is well. This guy isn't a big fan of a lot of ruckus (unless he causes it), and he likes to ensure everyone knows when the food is his, not appreciating interference. Therefore, an older teen or a kid-free home would be best for him. Splinter needs a little time to warm up in new situations, however, when comfortable at home he is ready to demand attention from anyone who enters!Splinter knows to do his business outside and welcomes the treat he gets for doing so! He would prefer someone who is home more often, as he loves his humans - seriously, you will never be in the bathroom alone again, whether you want to be or not. Tindra has a medium energy level and enjoys going for walks, then happily curling up for a nap beside you or squeezing into the tiniest cozy space she can find. Tindra especially loves to wrestle, and at about 30 pounds fully grown, she’s a fun but manageable play partner. She doesn’t shed much, though she will need occasional brushing and trimming to manage her undercoat. I’m a 17lb bundle of joy and ready to go to my forever home! I love to play with my 17 lb foster sister, whether its a good game of chase, bitey face, or wrestling - i love it all and do good switching between roles. Im chill with my 85lb foster brother, he’s a bit older and wants nothing to do with puppy shenanigans so I leave him alone.  My foster parents say I'm a certified goober, I love getting pets from them and while I took to my foster mom immediately it took a while longer to warm up to my foster dad. I play with my foster parents some but aren’t as confident yet with people. I like going outside and am loving winter so far -  I LOVE  to bring snow balls back inside and eat them! I’m a gentle guy who loves attention, kisses, and being part of the action. I get along great with dogs, cats, and kids, and I’m always ready to make new friends.  I do especially well with the littles and am very patient with them.   I’m not a big barker, but if another dog starts up, I’ll happily join the chorus. I’m kennel trained, keep my space clean, and I’m working hard on my potty training—it’s coming along nicely when I’m on a good schedule. I am still learning about the leash, so until I figure that out I will need a fenced in yard where I can explore safely and do my business.   My favorite toys are squeaky ones, but don’t worry—I don’t destroy them, I just enjoy the sound. I’m affectionate, even-tempered, and gentle, and I love being talked to. I’m smart enough to know commands like “Kennel,” “Go Potty,” and even “Get Back” when the door is open. I’m the kind of dog who wants to be with people, whether we’re playing, walking, or just hanging out. I’ll do fine on my own if you’re busy, but I’ll be happiest in a home where I get plenty of love and attention.
