Story
Meet Archie Bear – your future best friend and the smartest, most energetic companion you'll ever have! Archie is eager to learn and picks up on training in no time, making him a joy to teach new tricks or refine old ones. With boundless energy, he’s always on the move and ready for action—until it’s time for bed, of course! This playful pup has a serious love for toys, especially ones that he can turn into fluff. Got a chew toy that needs a challenge? Archie will take care of that in less than 30 minutes! He’s also an affectionate little shadow, always by your side and thriving on human companionship. Archie Bear would thrive in a calm, loving home where someone is around often to keep him company. While he’s not a fan of young children due to his anxiety, he does better with older kids and 12 and older. He’s a true outdoor enthusiast who loves walks and does beautifully on a leash. Plus, he’s kennel trained and mostly potty trained, though he has accidents when overly excited or anxious! If you're ready to offer Archie Bear a peaceful, yet active home where he can shine, apply today! He’s ready to meet his perfect match. Adoption fee: $350 + tax. Apply at www.CampCompanion.org.

Story
Bonded pair. Fence required. Cora and her son Scooby are a resilient, semi-feral duo with a bond that’s unbreakable. Rescued from a shelter in Wisconsin just before it closed, they’ve had very little human interaction over the years, making their journey to trust a slow and delicate process. Living now in a foster home, they are learning to navigate their newfound world with cautious curiosity. While they do live with other dogs and cats, Cora can be a little bossy at first when meeting new dogs. She takes her time assessing new situations, especially when it comes to the other animals in the house, but once she feels comfortable, she settles into the routine. Scooby is usually more laid-back, following Cora’s lead but always in his own quiet way. Cora is a protective and nurturing mom, always looking out for Scooby. The pair are a little skittish, but they’ve made strides—occasionally hopping into bed or joining us on the couch, though always staying just out of reach. They show their affection in their own quiet way, happy to see us when we come home, and they eagerly accept treats from our hand, a sign of the trust they’re building. Cora and Scooby are a work in progress, taking their time to adjust and embrace the love and comfort of a home. Though they may not yet be ready for full human interaction, their journey of trust and growth is a beautiful thing to witness. With patience and understanding, they continue to evolve, each day a little more open to the world around them. Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org Adoption fee for both dogs together as a bonded pair is $350 plus tax.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    DOB: 10/01/2015 Requires another dog in home: Yes, needs another confident dog Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes, dog friendly dogs Okay with cats: Unknown Okay with children under 12 years old: Unknown Weight: 13 pounds Requires a fenced yard:  Yes, needs a fence  Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello, my name is Jessie and I am the perfect combination of sweet and gentle. I am a timid and shy girl who is making tremendous progress living in a home with a loving family. I have learned so many things – the most important is to trust my people. My people have been very gentle and going slow with me and I have made a lot of progress. She gives me little massages on my head and back – it is so relaxing for me and my people. I have the softest coat and I think you will agree! I am a shy little girl, so having a confident dog in my forever home is required. Another dog will be helpful to show me the ropes, help me get on a routine and help me feel comfortable in my surroundings. Foster mom tells me with a little time and a lotta love, I will come out of my shell and be a great friend to my people. A lot of commotion worry me a bit, so I spend time in my comfy bed watching the activity in the house. Hopefully you have lots of comfy beds for me! Potty training is going great, my foster mom carries me outside and I am good about doing my business on a routine. While I will go potty on a leash, I don't know how to go for walks yet so will need a fence. Maybe there is another dog in the house to show me how to walk on a leash? Hopefully! Anyway, I am ready for my forever. My forever family, my forever home and my forever best friend that will love me unconditionally, not give up on me! I promise I’m worth it and I will fill that hole that you possibly never even knew was there! Love, Jessie *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.      ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi, I am Gladys! As you can see, I am a beautiful little lady.  I’m 11 years old.  Although I am a senior, I am a very sweet girl.  I weigh 14 pounds but it is 14 pounds of pure love and gorgeousness!!!  I am crate trained, and potty trained!  Isn’t that cool???  I don’t even do any barkage when I’m in the crate.  I think that’s pretty pawsome!  As you can see by my pictures I am absolutely gorgeous and have a beautiful coat.  That means my hoomans have to brush me to keep me red carpet ready.  That's okay though because I really love to be brushed!  It feels so good!  If you don’t believe me you should try to have your hooman wash and brush your hair!  I pawmise you you’ll love it!!!  I know some doggos like to play with toys or chew bones, but that’s not my thing.  I do love to be outside.  So, even though I am a good and proper leash walking lady, if you had a fenced in yard for me to hang out outside and look and smell all the things, that’d be pawesome.  Although I won’t mind another doggo, I don’t need one.  I’m okay if I’m your one and only doggo especially since that means I wouldn’t have to share you with anyone else!  So, what do you say????  Can we meet to see if we luv each other?  Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
