Hi! My name is Mallory and I am from Missouri. **Meet Mallory!** Mallory is a stunning 7-year-old Pomeranian with a soft, fluffy coat and soulful eyes that tell a story of resilience. She came into rescue as an extremely unsocialized dog and is still learning that humans can be kind and gentle. Mallory is terrified of human contact and will freeze when approached, so she’ll need an experienced, patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. She may never be a cuddly lap dog, but she has so much potential to blossom in the right environment. The key to Mallory’s confidence is another dog! She thrives with a calm, well-adjusted canine companion to show her the ropes and help her feel safe. Her ideal home will have a resident dog who can be her buddy and role model. Mallory’s rehabilitation journey will require time, understanding, and love. She’ll need a quiet home without young children and a fenced yard where she can explore safely at her own pace. She’s looking for someone who sees her for who she is now and believes in the amazing dog she can become. Please meet, Gigi. She's a 6yr old Pomeranian mix. She has lived her whole life with an aging parent who has loved her and spoiled her. She loves treats, walks and playing with her toys. She's a total lover and snuggle bug. Having only lived in a home with one person, she is a little shy when meeting new people and is timid around other dogs. However, she's very smart and with the right socialization, I believe, she would blossom. She's very funny and silly and would be a wonderful pet/companion for a single person or couple. She has not had any exposure to small children so I'm not sure how she would adapt to that environment. She is trained to potty on indoor potty paper, but also knows to potty outside. It greatly saddens us to re-home her, but my aging mother's health prohibits her from keeping her any longer. She will be free of charge to a good and stable home that fits her needs. Gigi is in good health, has all of her vaccines and her vet records will be provided.

I am a timid and shy girl who is making tremendous progress living in a home with a loving family. I have learned so many things – the most important is to trust my people. My people have been very gentle and going slow with me and I have made a lot of progress. She gives me little massages on my head and back – it is so relaxing for me and my people. I have the softest coat and I think you will agree! I am a shy little girl, so having a confident dog in my forever home is required. Another dog will be helpful to show me the ropes, help me get on a routine and help me feel comfortable in my surroundings. Foster mom tells me with a little time and a lotta love, I will come out of my shell and be a great friend to my people. A lot of commotion worry me a bit, so I spend time in my comfy bed watching the activity in the house. Hopefully you have lots of comfy beds for me! Potty training is going great, my foster mom carries me outside and I am good about doing my business on a routine. While I will go potty on a leash, I don't know how to go for walks yet so will need a fence. Maybe there is another dog in the house to show me how to walk on a leash? Hopefully! Meet Jethro! He was a stray in Scott County before he came to SMART! Little did we know that he is just about full grown at 22lb!
