Story
Bonded pair. Fence required. Cora and her son Scooby are a resilient, semi-feral duo with a bond that’s unbreakable. Rescued from a shelter in Wisconsin just before it closed, they’ve had very little human interaction over the years, making their journey to trust a slow and delicate process. Living now in a foster home, they are learning to navigate their newfound world with cautious curiosity. While they do live with other dogs and cats, Cora can be a little bossy at first when meeting new dogs. She takes her time assessing new situations, especially when it comes to the other animals in the house, but once she feels comfortable, she settles into the routine. Scooby is usually more laid-back, following Cora’s lead but always in his own quiet way. Cora is a protective and nurturing mom, always looking out for Scooby. The pair are a little skittish, but they’ve made strides—occasionally hopping into bed or joining us on the couch, though always staying just out of reach. They show their affection in their own quiet way, happy to see us when we come home, and they eagerly accept treats from our hand, a sign of the trust they’re building. Cora and Scooby are a work in progress, taking their time to adjust and embrace the love and comfort of a home. Though they may not yet be ready for full human interaction, their journey of trust and growth is a beautiful thing to witness. With patience and understanding, they continue to evolve, each day a little more open to the world around them. Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org Adoption fee for both dogs together as a bonded pair is $350 plus tax.

Meet Jethro! He was a stray in Scott County before he came to SMART! Little did we know that he is just about full grown at 22lb! The vets put his age at 6-9 months old, and he is a snuggle bug who makes himself at home wherever he goes. He is a great boy who just needs to find his furever people. Is that you??

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Well, hello there! You’re probably wondering how I got my name. Let me explain: I’m fluffy like a marshmallow and sweet as a McFlurry—hence, the name! It just fits, don’t you think? Speaking of fitting, let’s talk about my looks. My eyes? Stunning. Bright blue, and sure to melt your heart. My body? Well, let’s say I’m a work in progress. I’m not exactly ready for a fitness magazine cover—more like the poster pup for “Too Many McFlurries Anonymous.” But hey, we’re working on my fabulous figure! I’m great with all the dogs in my foster home and have even conquered stairs… going up, that is. Coming down? Nope, not for me! Those steps are a little too intimidating for this hot potato, so my foster mom carries me like the royalty I am. You should know, I’m a breeder release dog, which means life outside a kennel is pretty new to me. I’m learning the ropes—slowly but surely! Oh, and I recently had a dental cleaning, leaving me with only four teeth on top. Don’t worry, though, I’m still managing just fine. Now for the elephant in the room: potty training. Let’s just say it’s not my strongest subject yet, but I’m trying! I wear a belly band, and my foster mom says things might improve once I’m neutered. It’s a work in progress, but hey, no one’s perfect, right? With my irresistible charm and adorable name, I know I’ll win you over. Let’s meet soon—I can’t wait to find my forever family!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination.
