Story
I'm a social, spunky guy who'll make an excellent companion to anyone looking for a small dog! Within five minutes I'll be trying to climb into your lap and make myself at home. Toys I could really care less about, I'm all about the people around me! As long as you give me attention and tell me how handsome I am, we'll get along great. As much as I'll love to stay by your side, I do like walking, too! We can keep each other active and healthy!I'm a special deal - I'm a sweet lapdog and a built-in alarm system! I have a tendency to bark at people I see walking past gates, doors, windows, whatever may be in my way between me and them. I mean no harm by it, I just want to let you know that I see them. This may be a little bit of a pain for apartment-dwellers, so keep my voice in mind when applying!Otherwise, I'm an easygoing pup. I like dogs, cats, and definitely people. Without a background on kids, I'm asking to be in a home with them over the age of 12 if they're around. This may be a little flexible, so feel free to ask staff when you're inquiring about me!

Story
DOB 8-14-2024 Amy is gorgeous, she gets along well with others, likes to play and loves toys. Amy's adoption fee is 850.00 and her transport fee is 165.00. She is up to date on all medical for her age and will come with a complete set of paperwork. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Cheeto is a 4 year old Pomeranian weighing 14 pounds!    Cheeto can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up to you he’s a total love bug!   Cheeto loves to play with toys and snuggle up with his his foster mom! He will even climb over his foster siblings to get to her! Fun fact: Cheeto loves to burrow under blankets!    Cheeto is currently working on housebreaking, he’s great on a leash and enjoys his walks, making him a wonderful companion for leisurely strolls.    When it comes to other dogs, Cheeto gets along well with those his size but can feel a bit nervous around larger dogs. He would do best in a home with small canine friends—or as the only dog soaking up all your love and attention! Cheeto would thrive in a home with older kids or no kids, as he values having a calm and safe space to relax. He’s great on a leash and enjoys his walks, making him a wonderful companion for leisurely strolls. Interested in adopting Cheeto? Apply today to meet him!   is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort. If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation. To learn more about our rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of FAQ’s on our website at WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM **The FIRST step in adopting an animal from our rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.
