Story
Meet Henrietta! Henrietta is an 11-week-old Pomeranian puppy weighing in at about 5 lbs. This sweet girl was surrendered by a puppy mill because of an overbite and luckily landed in rescue, where she is looking for her forever family! Her foster family thinks she is pretty perfect, and her overbite only makes her even more adorable! Henrietta is a sweet and spunky little pup who is the life of the party! She is fearless and sweet, making fast friends with her human and canine foster siblings. She has done very well with dogs of all sizes and would do best with fur siblings who are ready to embrace her puppy energy. After a good play session, she is an A+ snuggler and loves to be held. Like any puppy, Henrietta will need to work on crate and potty training in her forever home but has done exceptionally well with potty pads and is accustomed to sleeping through the night in a puppy pen. If you think you might be the special forever family Henrietta is looking for, apply today! Henrietta is being fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Zippy the Pomeranian is a spirited little guy, just over a year old (born June 2023) and ready to embark on his next adventure with a loving forever family. Weighing in around 12 pounds, this charming pup may start off shy, but once he warms up, his playful and affectionate personality shines! He still has some puppy energy and behaviors that he is learning to tame. Zippy loves chasing balls and running around, but his favorite pastime is curling up next to you on the couch for cozy cuddles or following you around the house when you get up. He's pee pad trained, crate trained and highly food motivated, making him a quick learner. He already knows how to sit and is eager to master new tricks every day! Though Zippy is still refining his potty training skills without a pee pad in the house, he's making great progress with a consistent schedule. He's also a social butterfly with the other dogs in his foster home, soaking up their confidence and cues to become the perfect companion. Zippy is a bit hesitant with new faces, but with patience and gentle encouragement (and treats) he quickly transforms into a loyal, loving companion. Once he trusts you, you’ll discover an incredible bond filled with love and joy. Zippy can’t wait to meet his forever family—are you the one to help him thrive? All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   October 4, 2024, 5:26 pm
