Poppy is an adorable senior Pomeranian Mix, estimated to be 11.5 years old and 11.5 lbs. He’s a very cute, sweet dog but he is a little old man who just likes to hang out with his favorite human(s). he’s not a cuddly lap dog, and is not especially playful pup. His favorite activities are napping and watching what’s going on around him…without necessarily engaging in any activities. He’s more of an observer vs a participant! Poppy would sure love to be an only dog, but, would do ok with another quiet senior who would not bother him with play or cuddling. He’s looking for a place to just chill and hang out in his twilight years, not being bothered by lots of people or by children. Poppy is in overall good health but he appears to have poor eyesight. He just had extensive dental work. He is of course neutered and microchipped and is up-to-date on all vaccinations, is heartworm negative and is on year-round heartworm prevention. Before coming to Wisconsin, Lance only knew his backyard in Texas. One day his owner died… leaving him and 5 other dogs in the backyard. Our Texan rescue friends went to the property to get Lance and his doggie family out of there, but one of them was not so lucky. 😢Lance was taken into a foster home in Texas where he learned to live in a house 🏠 with people. He’s learned that potty is for outside, a kennel is a safe spot, and to trust people. After his long and stressful journey 🚐 to Wisconsin he had to learn to trust all over again, but children helped! After being given a chance to warm up, Lance enjoys being around people, especially kids! 👦🏼 He can be quiet and shy… then he’ll surprise you with his cute, fluffy tail wags and his adorable, playful demeanor! He’s just starting to learn that couches are comfy and snuggling at the foot of the bed 🛏️ can be delightful. We believe that Lance is a Pomeranian mix. He’s around 4 years old and weighs 13 pounds. He’s also neutered and UTD on vaccines. 💉 Lance walks well on a leash and enjoys being brushed. He does really well at the groomer’s too. 🛁 Although he doesn’t seem to mind dogs of any size, he prefers other dogs or puppies 🐶 that are more his size to play with. He does well around cats too. We’d love to see him go to a forever home that has either children or a size-appropriate companion for Lance so that he can begin living his best life. Resses came from the hoarding case of poms. He joined AHF as a young puppy and was adopted quite quickly. He was recently returned for showing resource guarding issues. His foster mom is helping him work through his issues. His new family will need to be dedicated to continue training. He loves other dogs and has loads of energy. He plays with his foster siblings all day long. His foster siblings have been helping him learn that he doesn't need to guard his food bowls/toys, but he does still have issues. Hey there! We're Charlie and Patches, a lovable duo looking for our forever home. Charlie is a 20-pound male Pomeranian and Chihuahua mix (black), while Patches is a 30-pound male Maltese mix (white), We're both neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and estimated to be around 13-14 years old. We're a bonded pair, so we come as a package deal for an adoption fee of $350. We're still working on house training, but we're getting better every day. Both of us are crate trained and learning to walk on a leash. Patches enjoys walking with Charlie, and we both get super excited when we see other dogs on our walks.
