He is can learn to find things in the house if you keep things in place. He has been able to find the water bowl on his own. He is crate trained and will sleep in his crate at night."

My original home would hit me and this left some scars on my heart. My last home said that I was loving and affectionate with them but also protective. Unfortunately, I just didn’t care for their cats and kids. I do get along with dogs. I can be pretty active and playful and enjoy a nice game of fetch. I also sit and give paw. Can you help me heal emotionnally, I promise to love you with all my heart!

Dee Dee is a little dude with a big personality! When he's not sneaking sips from your glass of water, he can most often be found in a nearby lap. Dee Dee loves long walks and is unbothered by the sights and sounds of the big city! It can take him a little bit to warm up to new people, but once you're in, you're in for good - he never forgets a friendly face! Weight: 12.7 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Housebroken: Working on it! They're doing well on a schedule but will have occasional accidents in the home. Crate-trained: Working on it! They will bark or vocalize for up to 30 minutes, but do eventually settle. Leash behavior: Good! They enjoy walks and are easy to handle while on leash. Dog sociability: They love them! They thrive with a dog buddy and would love to live in a forever home with other dogs. Cat sociability: They do not do well with cats! They will chase, bite, attack, or otherwise harm or frighten cats. Kid sociability: Unknown! They have never met children while in foster care. Likes: Long walks, sneaking drinks of water from cups, snuggling with his people Dislikes: Huggers who don't ask first This animal has been diagnosed with a heart murmur. We recommend you work with your veterinarian to keep a close eye on this. Heart murmurs require special attention if this animal is to go under anesthesia for surgery or a dental cleaning. I’m currently in a foster home and my foster family has a lot of great things to say about me:“Dexter will definitely steal your heart from the moment you meet him. He is a lap dog and winds around your legs as if he is part cat. Dexter loves to play with small toy balls and is adorable when he prances after them! He loves to play with our 40 lb dog and they wrestle like crazy. Dexter would love to play with our cat, but she’s a calico, so there’s that….Dexter is crate trained and has no issue sleeping in his crate through the night.
