Story
We’ve had Ryan since 2018, when he was just 3 months old. Ever since, he’s been a part of every trip and has spent every day with us. However, our lives took an unexpected turn over the past two years—we now have three little kids, and because they’re so young, we can’t spend as much time with Ryan as we used to. Ryan has been feeling very down, and we’ve found ourselves unable to give him the love and attention he deserves, no matter how much we wish we could. We hope to find a new family who can share a happy and fulfilling life with Ryan for the rest of his days. Ryan loves being the center of attention, but he’s good with other dogs. That said, he’s not a fan of kids—he’s scared of them. Health-wise, Ryan had surgery for bladder stones a few years ago, and since then, he’s been on a special diet of urinary S/O food. Other than that, he’s completely healthy, and the surgery results were great.

I adopted Theo couple months ago. He was overweight and matted. Not sure if the previous owners neglected him but he did need extra love and attention. I got him back to a heavy weight and taught him how to socialize with other dogs and children. He also a smart cookie. He learned sit, lay down, spin, row over and paw. He’s well behaved but need an owner who is highly active for he has a ton of energy to burn everyday. Even though I would love to keep Theo, I’m fostering 2 other dogs that need extra love. He has an amazing heart and loves to give kisses.

Zuko is a stunning chocolate merle Pomeraninan/cCihuahua mix. This boy has a full Chihuahua personality though - he is definitely the lead singer of the band. He wants to be admired and flaunted but he has plenty of things to do. When he has finished his rounds of autographs, he chooses to hang out and cuddle. Maybe, like other leads, he is a bit insecure and is searching for a place he belongs; a place he will be able to transition on his own time and learn what it means to be a real member of the family. You see, Zuko, came to us after his previous (3) families gave up on him....they didn't allow him to become secure and confident and just wanted to smother and carry him around. Well, sometimes, that's okay.... but sometimes, in Zuko's case, it takes time and trust. He is ready to try but asks that you prove it first. Meet Putti: Putti finds himself needing a new start through no fault of his own. Due to unfortunate life changes his owner was unable to keep him and entrusted HBPR to find him the best home. He sned you this message:Hi my name is Putti (Latin meaning Boy), I am 5 years old and they tell me I am a Pomeranian mix. I have a handsome thick coat of white and reddish blonde, all that fluffiness makes me look bigger than my 15.8 lb. You can usually find me doing zoomies! I love to run and play. Just wait until you see how fast I am zoom, zoom! I love people, other dogs, and kids. My only dislike is Cats I don’t care for them at all! I am leash, crate and house trained, oh and I am an expert snuggle-buddy! The folks here are nice and tell me I will be seeing the doctor soon and then I can start my new life! I can’t wait to meet you and show you what a good boy I am.
