Story
Gracie came to us after almost losing her life at our vet office for no medically sound reason. Her owner just couldn’t have her around anymore. Luckily our vet gave us a call and asked if we could take her as putting her to sleep was the last thing she needed! Aside from some allergies that are being treated with medications, this girl has a clean bill of health. At 9 years old, her attitude and spunk makes it clear she has a lot of life to live and love to give! Gracie is a dream. She is independent and can happily be by herself but takes any chance she gets to be by your side. She does great on walks with minimal pulling, does wonderful in the car (just sleeps on her bed), and enjoys being around other dogs (although is happy without them as well). She’s a happy girl who is always smiling and wagging her tail so fast you’d think she could fly. Sleeps through the night, potty trained, treat motivated, and a cuddle queen. Gracie seems very comfortable with a crate as well. Come meet this special little love! $100 adoption fee/fee waived for seniors (65+) adopting senior pets (8+)

Meet Nutmeg, a devoted little mama who has just finished raising her seven beautiful puppies and is finally ready for a forever home of her own. Shortly after arriving in rescue (after being dumped along with another dog), we discovered she was pregnant, and she spent the past three months in full mama bear modeloving, protective, and completely dedicated to her babies. Now that her puppies are grown, Nutmeg is beginning to relax and truly blossom. She can take a little time to warm up to new people and new dogs, as shes still adjusting to life without the constant responsibility of motherhood. With her foster family, she is affectionate, gentle, and incredibly sweet. She is house-trained, crate-trained, sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, and is very treat motivatedmaking her both a wonderful companion and eager learner. Nutmeg does well with the cats in her foster home (she occasionally tries to initiate play) and is starting to show her playful, lighthearted side now that she doesnt have to be on guard all the time. She may bark at sounds outside as she protects her home, but otherwise she is a pretty quiet girl. Nutmeg has given so much of herself raising her puppies. Now its her turn to be cherished, spoiled, and loved in a home where she can simply be someones beloved companion.
