Looks like: Papillon mix Female, 11 years old (estimated), 17 pounds Sprinkles is a true companion. She's happiest when she gets to be by your side. This sweet and gentle pup can take a moment to warm up, but when she does, she wants nothing more than to pepper you with kisses and love. This little ball of love just wants to be your furever friend. This sweet girl is currently overweight and has trouble getting around, both due to her size and possible arthritis. She is currently being evaluated to try and help her get her mobility back. Though she struggles with a lot of movement, she does sometimes get some short bursts of energy. Sprinkles is a very people-friendly dog. Before placing her in a home with children, we'd like to be sure all interactions were monitored and young kids were respectful. Sprinkles may do well as the only apple of your eye, but she may also do well with another mellow pup, especially as Sprinkles does not like to be left home alone. Sprinkles came to us from Sacramento County Animal Shelter so that we could help with her medical needs.

Looks like: Chihuahua mix Male, 7 years old (estimated), 12 pounds Meet Max, a seasoned soul with a heart full of love. His demeanor is mellow, his spirit, gentle. He is a bit shy, but don't mistake his timidity for indifference. Once he warms up to you, he will show you a loyalty that is unwavering. Max enjoys peaceful afternoons, the sound of chirping birds, and the scent of freshly cut grass. He's an old soul who prefers a calm environment over a chaotic one. Max is looking for a forever home where he can share his golden years with a family who appreciates his tranquil nature. Adopt Max, not just because he needs a home, but because he has so much love and companionship to offer. His serene presence will bring a soothing rhythm to your life. Max does well around other dogs, cats, and people. Max would do best in a home where there are no kids so that he can spend some time decompressing from the shelter life. He might have an injury on his leg and may need to have a few visits to our clinic to get that cleared up. Sweet Max will be coming to POMDR from Hitchcock Road Animal Services where he was picked up as a stray.

Hi, I'm Enzo. As in Ferrari. Although I in no way resemble one, I like to think I'm quick, especially around mealtime. My top speed on a good day is about three miles per hour. If I could wear tennis shoes, I would be a real five-pound force of nature! I'm full grown, but since I'm still a young pup I like to run and play, so if you want me, at least one other dog in the home is required. I mean, you don't want me tearing up the furniture, now do ya'? I rather spend my time running around with my homey than removing the stuffing from your sofa. Blech!!! How to best describe me. Well, like a fine wine, I'm sweet yet feisty. Delicate yet firm. Sublime yet pedestrian. I mean I'm a dog, for cryin' out loud! I think you'll agree, however, I possess movie star good looks. Maybe not leading man material, but impressive just the same. If I were human, rather than Leo DeCaprio, I would be more of a bobble-head Joe Pesci. But these lips! Look out Mick Jagger, I'm coming for you. Yeah ladies, read 'em and weep. No fillers here. This muzzle is the real thing. I'll bring plenty of pizzazz to your life. Your days of bingeing on boring reruns of Blacklist are over. Watch me instead, I'm eminently more entertaining. I'll captivate you with my charms, gaze at you with my big Puss-in-Boots brown eyes, and you'll be smitten. Next thing you know we'll be cruising through Starbucks for daily puppucinos. I'll be sleeping on your bed and wearing designer sweaters. Fortunately, I've never seen the inside of a shelter and never will. It's been nothing but champagne wishes and caviar dreams for this canine Casanova. I'm ready and able to give slobbery kisses. These lips are made for smooching, so pucker up and let's go home. I'll steal your heart...and then your socks!
