A soft warm bed, a set of loving arms to hold her. A short toddle around the yard and good food to fill her little belly. That’s all she wants and like most super senior pups her care needs are all about keeping her comfortable and happy. She’s a simple girl and just wants the simple things for the time she has left. At only 7lbs she doesn’t take up much space and she promises she’s as quiet as a mouse. Foxy was part of a group of 13 senior dogs who lost their long time rescuer when she went on hospice. She was no longer able to care for her animals and they all needed a soft place to land. All 13 are now in foster care with us and waiting for loving forever homes. Foxy is part of this crew and looking for the perfect retirement home to call her own. She isn’t perfect. No senior pup is. Her balance isn’t perfect and she walks with a head tilt and will circle a bit in new environments. But once she’s acclimated the circling is much less and she enjoys short little walks in her home and yard. She’s has a sweet and loving personality and is hopeful the right family will love her just the way she is and not expect the perfection that comes with youth. She’s dog friendly and pretty easy all things considered. If you’re looking to open your home to a senior and give them the end of life they deserve Foxy would love to go home with you. Sienna,  is 10 months old and weighs about 8lbs Sienna was surrendered when her pawrents lost their home. Siena has a condition known as megaesophagus but that does not slow her down. She is playful and loves learning new things. If you would like to provide a loving home for this little girl and have the time to feed her three small meals a day and care for her medical needs please let us know. Randy is an 8-year-old male who came to us from the Baldwin Park shelter, where he was found wandering the streets as a stray. It’s hard to imagine how this tiny, lovable boy ended up uncared for, but we’re grateful to have him safe with us now. Though Randy isn’t quite ready for adoption just yet, we’re giving him all the care he needs. He’s showing some signs of weakness in his legs, which we suspect may be related to patella problems. We’re working on getting him fully checked out and will make him available for adoption once we’ve addressed his health needs. Randy has a touch of Pomatude, which means he has a bit of a strong personality! While he does tolerate other dogs, he might do best as the only dog in a home where he can be the center of attention. Meet Gingie Bella,  3-year-old female SPECIAL NEEDS DOG Gingie is a lovable dog with a big personality. She came to us with struvite bladder stones, typically caused by UTIs and urease-producing bacteria. Despite months of traditional antibiotics and special vet-prescribed foods, the stones didn’t dissolve. We’ve since switched her to a low-phosphorus diet from 'My Perfect Pet' and added apple cider vinegar to her regimen. Currently, Gingie Bella is on the path to recovery and will not be available for adoption until her treatment is complete. In the meantime, donations are welcome if you’d like to help with her ongoing medical costs. Gingie Bella is potty trained, walks well on a leash, and gets along with other dogs. She’s a bit of a “shopper,” so she’ll need supervision to ensure she doesn’t pick up and eat things she shouldn’t. Please email us if you are interested in knowing more about this darling girl.
