Adopted from a rescue about 10 years ago We live in a house with a fenced in yard out in the country for most of that time. I moved to Richmond for a job and they don’t love apartment life. I think it would be better if I could be with them more but I work long hours. Sweet dogs but do bark quite a bit.

At 10 1/2 years old and weighing in at nearly 10 pounds, he’s the perfect blend of obedience and alertness. Once Kokomo finds his special human, his loyalty is unwavering. Kokomo loves to be by your side—whether he's sitting next to you or sleeping in your bed, though he prefers not to be a lapdog. His delightful character makes him a truly unique companion, especially when it comes to treats! This lovable pup is both housetrained and crate trained, and he has no known health issues. Kokomo would thrive as the only pet in a calm household, as he is a bit of a loner and is not suited for homes with children. With plenty of love to offer, Kokomo is eagerly awaiting the right person to share his affection with. This special little one year old chihuahua is called Magic Maude.  And especially sensitive little girl, that somehow got just a little too round and is on a dedicated exercise in nutrition program to drop some weight.  Currently, she is eighteen pounds and we field that she would be best to be in the ten to twelve pound range as a goal.  She originally was in a chaotic home that animal control had to step in and take away 112 chihuahuas that we're living in the home.  An unfathomable amount of dogs that were not altered, but yet healthy.  When mod came to our rescue and was put in a foster home. She lay there in her crate for days very depressed and emotionally unresponsive.  She barely moved from the one spot she lay in.   Eventually, after almost two weeks, she perked up with the company of few other chihuahuas coming to join her in her large crate.  Soon she was going on walks with the foster. Mom and seemed to enjoy the freedom of being outside, taking in all the new sights and sounds of the neighborhood.  We know she had never been leash walked due to the overcrowding at her original home.  This girl is spayed and healthy and ready to start all over again. She wants love and we promised her a great family who will love her and take her for walks and treat her like the Magic Maude that she is.  She is currently in Nashville, Tennessee, and can be transported to the northeast region as well.
