Story
This little lady is Edith. Edith is a 10-ish Chihuahua, but don't let the age fool you. She is full of spunk and attitude. She weighs roughly 7 lbs., but she doesn't realize how little she is. Edith is not afraid of anything or anyone. She will tell you exactly how she feels or what she wants (she is very vocal). Edith will be the first to greet you and insist you pick her up and give her loves. She is such a cuddle bug. If you are winding down for the day, she will crawl into your arms and gaze into your eyes, letting you know she's happy and comfortable. When it's time for bed, Edith will climb under the covers and won't move until it's time to wake up. Edith loves walks, loves her toys and treats. Edith did have a dental and had several teeth extracted, so soft food is best for her. She has a heart murmur and needs to take a pill every day and needs to be on a special cardiac food. The good news is you do not have to hide her heart medicine in cheese or a pill pocket because she thinks you are giving her a treat and will take it right from your hand. Edith is getting the hang of potty training and she is potty pad trained as well. She really needs a home with bigger dogs or a home without other pets. She hasn’t been cat tested, but she is little jealous of smaller dogs and tries to put them in their place. Edith would be a great companion for a single person or couple who works from home or is retired. You couldn’t possibly ask for a more loyal and affectionate little buddy. Edith has been spayed, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. Story
Meet Mary Pawpins, your future furry friend who’s in search of a forever home! This little bundle of joy weighs in at just 3 pounds and is 16 weeks of adorable tan and white cuteness. She’s practically perfect in every way—like a tiny little superhero in a fur coat! This playful, cuddly munchkin is not just sweet; she’s also a mischievous little rascal who’s ready to sprinkle sunshine and giggles into your life! Now, Mary Pawpins has a special wish list for her new digs: she’s looking for a cozy adult-only home where she can be showered with all the patience and love in the world. Think of it as signing up for a Mary Pawpins appreciation club! Bonus points if you have another small, playful dog (under 20 lbs.) to keep her company—because what’s better than one little furball? Two! Just a heads-up, though—she might not always pick up on when playtime is over, so prepare for a few puppy antics! Oh, and she hasn’t met any cats yet, so we’ll just say… that’s a mystery waiting to be unraveled! If you’re ready for the paw-sitive chaos that is Mary Pawpins, she’s ready to light up your life and fill it with love! Mary Pawpins is working on her potty training but really doesn’t like going out in the cold and wet, so potty pads are a must for now. She sleeps quietly in her kennel all night. She has been spayed, is current on vaccines and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application on our website -(uaaf.org/adopt).
