Story
Empanada is known affectionately by her foster parents as "Chi-Chi". She is a sweet little 11lb chihuahua who loves her humans.
She is a very special dog who requires a very special home. She is fiercely loyal of her humans she lives with and likely will attach to the female of the home. She can be weary of men, and requires slow introductions to anyone who is visiting. Her ideal home would be a quiet one with not a lot of visitors coming in and out. She loves to lay in bed with her humans but also loves to play with her toys. She is very much a protector of her human, typical fiercely loyal chihuahua. She loves to play with other small dogs, but is an alpha female so we would only recommend her being around other submissive dogs. She can play a bit rough and will try to play with cats, so it would depend on how socialized the cats are if she would do well with them or not. She is potty and crate trained. She can be protective of her human, so for this reason we would recommend a home with no children.
She does better with women than men, so being adopted to a female is recommended. A home with a patient man who understands it will take time to trust would be considered.
