Story
Sam is a 6 pound, 3-4 month old chihuahua mix little boy who is looking for his forever home. This sweet boy with the softest fur ever, was pulled with his sister Winnie, from a high-kill shelter in rural Georgia. Are we are thrilled to have saved this cutie! Sam is a velcro dog - he loves nothing more than to sit on the lap of his people, enjoying whatever it is you are doing. Going to a baseball game? Sam is your boy. Running errands? Count him in! This little guy has the cutest little underbite, and does well with the large and small pups in his foster home. He can be an only dog or with other dogs his size, who aren’t going to get upset if he wants to love on his people - he is a gentle soul! Sam is still working on being completely housebroken, so someone who is home and will be patient with Sam, to continue his training, is needed. Sam does NOT like being crated and you will hear his displeasure. Because he is so small, he can not go to dog parks nor can he be left alone in a yard, unattended. For that reason, his foster mom will not allow him to go to a home with an open doggy-door. Sam does well with respectful children. While he has not seen a cat, his foster mom believes Sam will be just fine with them. Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Story
❗Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ Meet Sunny with a story of miracles👋 Sunny was found on a street in South Korea at one year old in 2018 and taken to a high-risk shelter, but she was already in serious condition presumably caused by a car accident. Her pelvis was fractured, and her right hind leg bone was broken into pieces. She was saved from euthanasia by the rescue team and hospitalized for months (Jun-Sep 2018) due to the surgery and recovery. She was miraculously given a new life thanks to the rescue. That same year, after a few months of foster period, Sunny found a forever home, which was another miracle we thought of back then. Five years later, however, the rescue team got an unknown phone call requesting to change Sunny's ownership. Long story short, her family decided to give up on her after years, sent her to a pet shop, and paid them, all this without discussing it with the rescue team. This pet shop basically receives pets from owners and in turn, sells them out, and to do so with Sunny, they needed to have Sunny's ownership switched from the rescue team to the pet shop so they contacted the rescue team, and that’s how the rescue team learned Sunny's situation. Eventually, Sunny was able to safely return to her original rescue team, which is another miracle in her story. Despite all these setbacks, Sunny's sweet nature and zest for life shine bright. She needs one true chance to find her real forever family that loves her unconditionally. Recently, she has been moved to her foster home with two other dogs. Sunny is eagerly waiting for her own home now! • Personality: Sweet, Playful, Sociable Sunny thrives on love and affection and gets along with all people and furry friends, making her the perfect companion for anyone seeking a lovely and affectionate fur buddy. She is such a cuddle bug! She likes snuggly cushions and blankets. • Affinity with - Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs regardless of the size - Cats: Okay with street cats. She sometimes tries to chase kittens, but she stops when told. - Adults/Kids: Good with adults, especially elders including men / Okay with kids - not much interest in them. 💫She will be a perfect fit for most types of families! • Walking Manners: very good • Housetrained: fully housebroken, okay with both pee-pads and outdoors. • Separation Anxiety: None • Bathing/Brushing: very good • Barks/Howls: she barks when excited or when she wants something. • Car Rides: very good • Appetite/Food Allergies: No allergies • Shedding level (1~10): 5-6 • Health Issues: Due to the serious injuries that she got from an accident right before rescue, her pelvis is not perfectly placed (incomplete union of iliac) even after she had surgery immediately after being rescued. However, currently, she doesn’t show signs of pain when walking or running. If you have an open heart and a loving home for Sunny, please don't hesitate to apply!
