Story
Hammy is sweet, gets along with other dogs, and has the cutest apple-shaped noggin you’ll ever see. Although she’s a senior, she still has plenty of energy for playing pickle ball, knitting, and telling you about all the neighborhood gossip. Here’s some notes from her foster: Gail is a petite, short legged chi who wants to be your best friend. She can be shy at first but warms up quickly and then just wants to be nearby her favorite person/people. She would likely do well as an only dog or with a pal to hang with, especially if you are away from home a lot. Being that she is small and in her senior years, we believe she would be fine with children who are older, respectful, kind and gentle with her. Hammy is housebroken and has not had an accident inside. She eats well and has put on a little weight, which she needed. Since we don't have stairs, we don't know if she will be great at stairs or not. She mostly hangs out in her bed at my feet but also checks out the world at the living room window. She has a little bark when new people come to the house but will stop when you tell her to. She is okay at home alone (with my other dog) but will whine a bit at first, then settles in her bed until you return. She clearly would prefer to go with you on your adventures!

Story
Sugar Plum is a small, 12-pound adult dog with a big heart and a lot of love to give. She's a very loyal and quiet dog who loves to cuddle up on the couch with her favorite humans. She's dignified but very affectionate and seems to love gentle attention. Sugar Plum is friendly and gentle with both people and other dogs. She's a well-mannered dog who would make a great addition to just about any family, especially those with gentle, dog-loving children. Sugar Plum would enjoy accompanying you on walks, napping at your feet, and joining you on car rides. She's a good listener and will stick by your side through thick and thin. If you're looking for a furry friend to add to your family, Sugar Plum is waiting for you with his tail wagging and lots of kisses. Sugar Plum was rescued from a kind-hearted hoarder who meant no harm, but because there were so many dogs, Sugar Plum and others slept outside. She is really loving staying indoors and is learning about crate and developing her house training skills.

Story
Mya came to us with a broken leg that had been broken for a long time. The fracture was too old to heal by the time we got her. We removed the leg, thereby removing the pain, and she is a new and happy little girl!  The missing leg does not slow her down at all, it’s hard to even call her special needs. She is sweet, loving, playful and just overall a wonderful little girl. If you would like to meet her please fill out an application at www.carmaoc.org.
