Spotty is a sweet and spunky 9-year-old chihuahua who weighs in at just 6 ½ pounds. He may be small, but he’s packed with personality! Spotty loves playing fetch with his tiny toys, getting back scratches, and going for short walks with his favorite humans. This little guy is the perfect companion for someone who enjoys a calm, cozy lifestyle – he’d thrive in a child-free home with a remote work buddy or a senior looking for a new best friend. We’ve had the joy of fostering Spotty for the past 10 months, helping him gain some weight and get his medical care up to date. He's a bit feisty and slow to trust, but he’s learned some manners along the way. Spotty has had a tough past, including time spent outside competing with larger dogs, but he’s now ready to live out his golden years in a calm, loving home. If you’re looking to give a senior dog a second chance and offer a devoted companion a peaceful, loving environment, Spotty might be the perfect fit. Please reach out to meet him!

ALERT! We have a Stage 5 Clinger on our hands!But in the best way possible, of course - Jimmy was born to cuddle! After spending months at a shelter, this little guy just wants to spend his golden days right next to his person, soaking up all the love. He may need a little help getting up on the couch or bed (his legs aren't what they used to be), but once he's there, he's your loyal cuddle buddy for life.Jimmy takes a minute to warm up to new people, but once he trusts you, he's all in! He prefers a calm, peaceful environment, so he'd do best as the only dog in the house - he loves having all the attention to himself. Jimmy's favorite things? Cuddles, short strolls, soft food, and treats (he's got just a few teeth left, so he's all about that soft life!).He's recently had a dental cleaning and a full exam, including bloodwork, and everything looks great! Jimmy is neutered, vaccinated, and ready to head home. He's on medication for a heart murmur and takes his pill like a champ. His potty training is still a work in progress, and he does best with slow, mellow companions since fast movements can spook him. For this reason, we'd love to see him in a home without kids or other hyper animals.If you're looking for a devoted, snuggly sidekick, Jimmy's ready to be by your side for all the love and naps! Story
Rita is the sweetest angel and a very loving dog. I've fostered her for a few years and have loved her very much. I have another dog who is young and very rambunctious. Rita is getting older. She moves slow and just wants to chill. My other dog is starting to annoy and disrupt her and I think it would be best for me to find Rita a more peaceful environment. She is very easy to take care of and would be a wonderful companion for a senior person.
