Polydactyl/Hemingway kittens & cats in Absecon, New Jersey

Stormy (1.5 years old) wants to be your little shadow, staying close to your side and checking out what you're doing (even if it's as mundane as cleaning the litter box...she finds it fascinating!). She is affectionate and enjoys being petted and held. Stormy has extra "thumbs" on her front paws, making her a "polydactyl" cat. Special needs: Stormy and her siblings (Beamer and Stormy; may be adopted individually) were all surrendered to our rescue as babies in June 2022 with severe feline herpesvirus infections. Permanent damage was done to one eye on each kitty, but they each have one perfectly healthy eye. The herpes also damaged their nasal passages, so they don't whisk away particles like they're supposed. The kitties are prone to nasal congestion and may need a course of antibiotics a couple times a year to knock back secondary infections. We are looking for extra-special families to adopt these amazingly sweet but special needs kitties. We certainly don't expect all three to go to the same home but it would be nice if two of the three were adopted as a pair. All are fixed, current on vaccines, microchipped, and negative for FIV/leukemia. Adoption fees will be waived for well-qualified adopters! Phoebe was trapped out side along with her sister Fiona.  She is a very pretty dark brown tabby with huge eyes.  Phoebe has been with OMC since she was 7 months old.  She does not like to be touched.  Phoebe is great in the house and likes the other cats and the dogs.  Phoebe will get close to the action and humans but if its too close she will just get up and jog away to a safer location.  She is curious and joins in on the activities.   Phoebe would do best in a home with an experienced person who understands her limits.  She would love to be adopted with her sister Fiona.  While they have been together their entire lives, they are not super bonded.  It would be nice to have them adopted together    Located in Blairstown, NJ  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 2, 2024, 10:47 am

Clark is located in Blairstown, NJ    Clark and his 2 siblings were living in the streets when OMC stepped in and broug them into foster care. ( one sibling was adopted already).   Clark is a very handsome gray and white boy who is about 2 years old.  While he prefers to stay out of sight, he will venture out and supervise some of the activities going on.  Clark is not a fan of being touched by humans, but he does seem to like the other cats in his foster room, and he especially likes his brother Fudge.   If you would like to take a chance on Clark and have some time to work with him, he could possibly be a more social kitty.   He would love to be adopted with his brother Fudge.  If you have the time, Clark just might have some love back for you.   He is neutered and up to date.  He tested neg.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 2, 2024, 10:47 am

He likes other cats and even has a brother named Clark that he would like to be adopted with.
