I don’t know how this adorable, sweet girl ended up in a feral colony, but she was found there with two other very friendly, unfixed polydactyl cats. Don’t tell the other cats, but Bailey is actually one of my favorite cats here. She’s incredibly mellow, so sweet, loving and a truly wonderful companion. She's exceptionally easy going and just happy to be wherever you are. What makes me super? I'm cuddly, have 27 toes, and make new friends easily My preferred sidekicks are cats, small/moderate energy dogs, and teenagers Edward Scissorhands has spent the last year enjoying monthly manicures, making new friends, and learning to be a confident young man. Eddie has lived with 3 foster families to increase his experiences and his gentle, affectionate nature makes him hard to resist. At each home, he has made friends with resident cats after 2-4 days and can either be found being bathed or being the head groomer. Eddie has lived young adults and small/moderately active dogs and does best with a confident cat friend. During his time with us, he has won over Agatha, we think they would be an excellent duo for an interested party.

World class athlete Dale is graceful and has lightning reflexes. His sleek stature and polydactyl thumbs help him race around during his play time shenanigans. Behind this athletic exterior is a heart full of sweetness and a very healthy appetite. Dale can be a bit reserved at first but in no time he'll be coming out for treats, attention and pets.

Midnight is a three month old kitten. born to a orange tabby (father) and tuxedo(mom)both of whom are mine. He was middle in a litter of six. A friendly kitty that purrs loud and would love a good forever home

I'd love to tell you about my beautiful boy Archie. I was lucky enough to adopt him from Cat Town in Oakland back in 2022 when he was just 2 years old. Now at 4, he's grown into such a special companion. Unfortunately, I'm moving in with my partner who has severe cat allergies - we're talking hives - and we're starting a family, so I'm faced with the heartbreaking decision to find Archie a new loving home. Archie is truly a good boy with the sweetest soul. While he might be a bit shy when you first meet him, once he warms up (which doesn't take too long!), his loving personality really shines through. He has this adorably mischievous side that just makes you smile. More than anything, Archie loves giving and receiving affection - he's just a big sweetheart at heart. I can really see Archie thriving in a home where he has the freedom to embrace his adventurous spirit - somewhere he can wander outside, explore, and truly be himself. He has so much love to give!

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA:  Chinchilla (Chin Chin) and Shadow are a sweet bonded pair of lovely kitties that were rescued together from a large cat colony. They appear to be Maine Coon-mix cats.  Shadow is probably Chin Chin's mother.  They both have amazingly loud purrs!   Chin Chin and Shadow’s rescuer, Sara, provided us with this description of the girls: “Chin Chin is gray and white and was born in approximately May 2016.  She's a bit flighty and will run away at first, even from me, but comes back as soon as I start petting or brushing another cat.  She returns even faster when I'm dispensing treats.  She is very playful and chases balls and other toys around the room.  She even has a regular morning romp with another cat from the colony. Shadow was born in approximately May 2014.  She's very small for a Maine Coon mix (about 6 pounds) and has gorgeous all-black fur.  She loves to be brushed and petted and often meows loudly.  Her fur is curly, so regular brushing is needed to keep mats from forming.  She's even gotten used to stand-up brushing of her belly and will jump onto the cat condo so I can reach her more easily.  Once there, we sometimes touch noses.  She's the sweetest girl.  She's very docile and calm once she gets familiar with you and the household.  She doesn't even run when I vacuum.  She's also very good about eating oral flea medication with tuna or sardines. Both girls are going to be shy at first with new people but with patience and gentle talking, treats and eventually brushing, they'll come around. Both of them have purrs that practically shake the house.  I can hear Chin Chin purring from another room, and she'll start even before I touch her.  Shadow starts drooling when she's purring.  It's so cute! There's no way of knowing for sure, but I believe they are mother and daughter.  They are definitely a bonded pair.   Both are in good health.  I give Shadow daily hairball gel and Chin Chin a powdered probiotic in her food.  They are good about using the litter box and grooming themselves.  Chin Chin and Shadow have both been spayed and will be up to date on vaccinations prior to adoption.  They are good with other cats.  They might be okay with older, respectful children, or with a very calm and cat-friendly dog." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a Courtesy Post, and Chin Chin & Shadow are living in a private foster home with their rescuer Sara in Hercules, California.
