Meet Toby! Toby is a 6-year-old male who was recently rescued from an overcrowded animal control and is now safely with us as he begins his next chapter. So far, we’ve learned that Toby is a good walker and does well on leash, making him an easy and enjoyable companion for strolls. He is also potty trained, which is a great plus as he transitions into a new home. Toby can be a bit vocal at times, so he’s not shy about letting you know how he’s feeling or what he needs. Right now, Toby is still coming out of his shell as he adjusts to his new surroundings. Each day he’s becoming a little more comfortable and showing more of his personality. With patience, kindness, and a stable home, we believe he will continue to blossom into a wonderful companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, resilient boy who just needs a little time to fully shine, Toby may be the perfect match. Toby currently weighs about 70lbs., is approximately 6 years old (est. birth date 07/15/2019), and her adoption fee is $315. Toby has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. UPDATE 4/16/26: Toby is now available for adoption through Furkids! (Search by his name, or pet ID 83285) Please note that the adoption fee is determined and set by Furkids.UPDATE: Due to being microchipped, we (private foster family) are working with LifeLine to get Toby into a foster system in order to properly transfer ownership.Toby is a 7-year-old Polish Lowland Sheepdog mix. He's technically medium sized, but currently weighs 72lbs and is on a strict kibbles-only diet to get down to a healthy range (50-55 lbs). Active, very easy going & good with dogs (“curious” about cats). Does well on leash but prefers running loose. Loves playing fetch and being around his humans. He was a beloved companion of his previous owner, who recently passed away.Toby would do great in a household where he has outdoor space to run and play, or gets frequent visits to a dog park.
