Story
𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑴𝒖𝒕𝒕: DAVEY DAVEY is a super sweet and friendly little black lab puppy. He is smart and loves affection from his people. He is working on all the puppy stuff like crate training, walking on a leash, potty training, and learning commands. He is good with all dogs and kids and loves to play! He is a wiggly guy so it is hard to get a still photo of him lol. He is always trying to get kisses and wagging his whole body with his tail. His brother was recently adopted and the adopters did a genetic test on him and he turned out to be about 53% pointer, 16% staffordshire terrier, 18% boxer, and 13% bulldog. He looks so much like a labrador mix so that was very surprising! DAVEY was in a high-kill shelter in Georgia and caught a ride up to Cedarburg, Wisconsin on 1/10/25 with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. He is currently in a foster home and is living on a 100 acre farm. He is great off leash and is a good boy with all the farm animals, including chickens, cats, puppies, etc. —--------------------------- Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is s summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement. Check out our website for more information on FOSTERING, VOLUNTEERING, or DONATING!

Story
I adopted Bosco when he was just 8 weeks old from a farmer in northwest Iowa, and he’s been by my side ever since. He’s a fun-loving, social dog who plays well with everyone. As he approaches his 11th birthday this April, Bosco still has plenty of energy but enjoys his naps just as much. He does great when left alone and is always the first to greet you at the door when you return. As he’s gotten older, he’s become more sensitive to loud noises, especially thunderstorms. If a storm rolls through while you're away, he may seek shelter in the bathtub—sometimes at the expense of the shower liner. When you’re home, he’ll want to cuddle as close as possible for comfort. Bosco loves being near people, though you might need to watch out for his happy tail! With a baby on the way, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to find Bosco a loving home where he’ll continue to get the attention and care he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal and affectionate companion, Bosco's your dog!

Story
Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on March 28th and arrive on March 29th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 2/28/2025 Dog Name: Tootsie Sex: Female Estimated Breed: Pointer/ Border Collie Mix Approximate Age: 1.5 - 2 years old Approximate Weight: 40-50 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Spayed  Description: Our Texas rescue partners got a call they couldn’t ignore- Tootsie has been living outside on her own through the very hot Texas summers and through the recent freezing temperatures of winter. She counted on people passing by to feed her and hoping they would stop to give her a second of attention. As hard as her life was, Tootsie’s spirit has never been broken. She is the sweetest girl and has not stopped smiling since her rescue! She is very dog friendly, she loves children and has not been reactive to cats. She is learning to live inside a warm and safe foster home, she is loving every minute of it! This great girl deserves a great new life! Adoption Fee: $450We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. March 9, 2025, 11:59 am
