Habanero may be named after a spicy pepper, but this girl is way sweeter than she could ever be spicy! She’s a friend to all, a lover to her core and an exceptionally well behaved girl. Habanero would be an easy first dog, a wonderful family dog, a great companion dog to just about anyone ready to be loved. We think that Habanero may be a Pointer, Boxer mix, but… look at her. It’s hard to tell! She is a rescue, so these are just are best guesses. She’s estimated to be around 7 months old right now, and weighs in at 40 pounds. She’s a super affectionate lap dog, ready to love you. She adores kids too, preferring teens and tweens to the little ones. She loves treats, and takes them so gently! She’s a food motivated fast learner, so any further training will be rewarding and enjoyable for both of you. She’s already great on leash and knows her “sit” command. She has an adorable ability to walk on her hind legs, and we think she may learn to do it on command if you work with her on it. Habanero is a seriously well behaved girl. She has amazing impulse control when it comes to food, and she has a habit of “checking in” during playtime with other dogs. These are great signs for trainability and loyalty, Habanero is ready to become your PERFECT dog. She’s a solidly medium energy girl with the cutest zoomies, but good house manners and so much softness and gentleness. With other dogs, Habanero is playful, joyful and tolerant. She can zoom with the best of them, and when a dog is being a little too pushy, Habanero can take it! She would do well in a home with doggy siblings, but with her people-focused personality, we know that she could thrive as an only dog as well. Habanero was cat tested here at the rescue, and did well meeting our house cat Tom. We believe her to be cat-tolerant, capable of living in a home with dog savvy kitties. No roaming, whining or car sickness from this girl. She does really well in public spaces too, sticking to her handler’s side even when interested in new people, cars, or other animals. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Meet Bran – the Sweetest Little Snuggle Bug! Bran is a gentle, sweet-natured puppy with a heart of gold, just waiting for his forever home. This adorable boy might be a little timid when you first meet him, but once he warms up, he’ll be your loyal cuddle buddy for life. Bran absolutely loves snuggling up with his humans and thrives on affection and attention. Bran has been raised around multiple dogs and has no aggression at all – he’s truly a kind soul who loves the company of others, both canine and human. He’s also comfortable with cats and has been around our kitten, so he’d likely do well in a home with cats or other furry friends. With a healthy appetite and a love for chew bones, Bran has some favorite treats that he enjoys during his downtime. Discovered living amidst the dangers of a construction site and facing threats from workers, Bunny's early life was far from easy. But her path led her to us, and with a bit of patience and care, she has blossomed into a wonderful companion. So Arika is an unusual name, right?? Well, yes it is!! It actually means "ruler of ALL" and I identify with that feeling :D OK, I am not the ruler of all, but I am the ruler of ALL my friends! We have kind of a democratic system set up...... I tell them what to do and they LISTEN and they do what they want! So, that is the level of my "ruler-ness". However, I have a lot more to offer than just rules and regulations.... I HAVE LOVE! You see, I know love and I know despair...my daughter Mika and I were found on the streets, eating trash and anything we could get our faces on.... until the day that a "street feeder/rescuer" found us. From that day forward we had HOPE... And here we are in the rescue and thriving! I rule all my friends and we are now just waiting for our furever homes. I am a big girl, kind of deceivingly... I don't look that big but weigh in over 70# I am great with other dogs- big and small, as long as they want to play and hang out, I am down with that... My bestest home would be with another playful dog and kids please :) So I am here waiting, and RULING, and waiting for you to find me! I will let you in on a little secret too... FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Calliope! She is an energetic and playful girl who is ready for her forever home! Calliope is a Pointer/Labrador Retriever mix, she weighs around 60 lbs and is around 2 years old. Calliope is very active, and she will need a family that can keep her properly exercised. Hiking, walks/runs, and a large, securely fenced yard to run would be ideal for her. She is very sweet but can get over excited and will need continuation of basic obedience as well as leash manners and working on not jumping when excited. Because she is large and jumpy, we are recommending no small children as she could accidently knock them over. Calliope is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $450.
