Hey there! I’m Muddy, and my life story is one of resilience. You see, when I was younger I had distemper, and it caused me to lose the use of my back legs. The nice staff here at ADL nursed me back to health and taught me how to walk again. Now I have gotten my strength back, and even though I walk a little funky at times, I am living life better than ever! I absolutely love playing with toys, especially fetch and tug of war! When I play fetch I will even drop the ball when I bring it back to you! Once I get tired I do enjoy getting some neck scratches. I am also quite dog friendly and would love to meet any other dogs you have at home! Despite my handsome looks and sweet personality, I have been passed up a lot because I can be a bit loud in my kennel, but I promise I am a different dog once I get outside! I can be a little shy at first, but let me tell you that I am the sweetest dog. It doesn`t take me long to warm up, some treats and time outside together will do the trick! Meet Lovely Lucy, female 1 year old Short Hair Pointer Lab mix which makes her very loyal, sweet and friendly. She is spayed, heartworm free, all shots done, including rattlesnake and has 6 months supply of flea and tick meds. She was abandoned in my neighborhood and may have had a tussle with another animal as her knee was strained, but she is on the road to health and can run, run, run! She also sits, stays, has learned to jump over posts, and hopped right into the tub for her bath. She is learning to not pull on a leash and getting better everyday. She enjoys sitting on a porch with the water hose running around her while she laps up the water. She is not aggressive, loves all ages, all people, dogs and cats. She needs a big yard to play with her favorite toys and plenty of love because she deserves it. She weighs 70 pounds.Lucy is in obedience training and is doing great!!!! This handsome 10-month-old Pointer mix was transferred to us at the beginning of November along with his two siblings, and he is now the last one left of the trio looking for a forever family.
