Cody is a 6 year old pointer mix adopted from a shelter in 2018. He is a good dog at home and with people. He has lived with adults for 5 years and has not been around children or other pets. He loves treats, car rides and belly rubs. He would do well with an energetic and experienced owner with a large yard or country setting.

Story
Rebel is a 3-5 year old pointer mix who was adopted from an overcrowded city shelter. She has been spayed, is in excellent health, and up to date on all veterinary care. After recovering from surgery and coming out of her shell, it has become clear that Rebel needs more than her current home provides. She is safe and loved, but what she really needs to thrive is more space to RUN. Our small suburban yard simply doesn’t fulfill her need for daily zoomies. We have seen how happy she is to run full speed laps around a much larger fenced property. When she’s not burning off energy, Rebel is very affectionate and loves to snuggle with her humans. She would do well in a family where someone is home for much of the day. Rebel would be fine with older kids who can handle her size and energy. She does not do well with cats or small dogs. Her current companion is a 9 year old male Aussie. Beyond a home with more space, Rebel needs patient, loving owners who can commit to ongoing training.

Tres Leches is a super fun, super sweet girl who is `always the bridesmaid, never the bride` these days - her kennelmates just keep getting adopted, leaving her behind to be paired with a new doggy friend each time. Tres Leches handles this with grace; she`s very dog social, but we think it`s her time to find her forever home and make a family very very happy. And her volunteer friends are continuously puzzled why Tres Leches is still at the shelter, because she is simply perfect. She`s playful and social with other dogs, housetrained, compact, knows sit and paw (always her left paw!), and seems to really enjoy learning and doing doggie puzzles. She`s currently learning `stay` and has picked up on it really quickly - she loves to please her people. Tres Leches likes toys and treats, and she wants you to know if you don`t like her name, that`s ok - it`s her shelter name and you`re welcome to change it! (But we have to think she was given that name because she`s as sweet as the treat she`s named after.)Tres Leches would make a great family dog - she is gentle when she plays and she`s very cuddly and affectionate when given the chance to sit on a sofa with her person. Please come meet this sweet speckled girl today!

Woof Woof, It`s Waffle Fry. This young fella loves showing off his goofy side and is looking for a mate he can be himself with. Is that you? Waffle Fry is only 7 months young and 43 lbs, but growing! Adopting a pup like him comes with many benefits. For starters, you can shape and mold his behavior, instill positive behavior and habits, and create a lasting bond from the start! Since coming to the shelter about a month ago, we have observed him to love cuddles and human affection, and always down for play time, fetch, chasing a ball or a squirrel! He walks well on leash, and appreciates treats which means that he will respond well to behavior and training with food!
