Story
Harper is such a sweet dog she loves running around has so much energy. I feel bad I have to get rid of her, but she just needs more attention and someone who will really give her more time they I don’t have unfortunately. She learns really fast. I taught her how to sit and shake in one day and she never forgot She loves swimming. She needs a little bit of training because she loves to jump, but once you hang around with her for more than 10 minutes, she chose out super quick. She just gets excited when she sees people. And how I got her I found her at a flea market and i rescued her and raised her as a puppy and yes she has puppy shots caught up.

Story
Lily is a very sweet and cuddly 1 year old puppy. We rescued her from the pound. She's great with people and her sibling dog (not biological) but has a tendency to fight other dogs at the dog park. In sure that can be trained out of her, however, the real reason she needs to go is she has a very high prey drive and we have a neighbor who feeds stray cats. She's killed 2 of those cats so far and I don't know how to train that out of her. I can socialize her with other dogs but I don't even know how to begin training her out of that prey drive. She would do well in a house where either it's okay that she hunt and kill small animals or the temptation is removed. I'm sure if she were trained to hunt or rat she would do excellent. Unfortunately that's not me.

Story
This sweet baby is Corbett, a 2-3 year old pointer mix! Corbett came to us from another shelter, we saw his handsome face and knew we just had to have him. Corbett unfortunately does have seizures, but they are well controlled with medicine that he takes willingly every day! The seizures don't seem to slow this boy down, as he is full of life and love! He will need to be on his meds for the rest of his life to control his seizures, but he will live a long, full, happy life with them! Corbett is a very sweet pup, who loves to go outside to play in the yards! When he gets the leash on him, he just dances with excitement and walks very well. Corbett is a dog that just radiates love and happiness. He is currently thriving in foster, here's what they have to say: "Corbett is doing great. He loves to run and play with my dogs, and they get along so well. He has found his voice recently and loves to chat. We're working on commands right now, and he's housetrained!" We promised Corbett that the rest of his life, would be the best of his life. Could that be with you? ***APPLY TO ADOPT: finalvictoryrescue.com*** We provide meet-and-greets by appointment with an application on file.

Story
Meet Ralphie (Cow A Bunga) Male English Pointer / Hound MixDOB: 10/16/21ADOPTION FEE: $100.00Available Now!***Animal Selective***Ralphie has been back at the shelter with us for WAY too long! He was adopted as a pup but returned later due to some unforeseen circumstances with his previous owner. He is a big boy packed full of energy! He would love an outdoorsy person who's willing to play fetch, take him to the lake, hiking, etc. He loves his pool time and playing in water. Once he's used up some energy, he's ready to give the biggest kisses and sit down for some pets. He is animal selective, so if you have another dog, we suggest bringing them with when you come to meet Ralphie! One of our volunteers has worked a lot with him, Ralphie does really good walking on a leash. He is also learning basic commands, such as "sit, lay, stay." Most of his training uses treats, but he is a smart boy. All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, dewormed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines & started on Flea Preventatives. Cats are tested for FIV/FELK. Dogs over 6 months are tested for heartworms and started on HW prevention. Open hours are 12PM - 4PM Tuesday -Friday and 12PM-3PM on Saturdays or by appointment. We suggest calling prior to visiting our adoption center to ensure the animal you wish to meet is here at our Center (some are in foster care) and still available. If you want to meet an animal that is being fostered an approved application & appointment is required. We will call or email you the status of your application once it is processed. Nothing will be processed on Sundays or Mondays. All our pets are posted online and we continue to take applications until they are actually adopted. Sometimes things change and an adoption may fall through so we maintain a wait list. APPLY HERE: https://form.jotform.com/202887123155152

Story
Bria is ready to live her best life! She loves to go on walks and sniff out, then chase, anything that may live in a bush or tree. Bria has graduated from the Leash on Life Prison Pup Program. Her handler tells us that she is always eager to train. She is very intelligent and highly food motivated. Bria prefers to be with people over other dogs. She has a high prey drive, and loves to play fetch and tug. She has learned: sit, down, stay, come, no, off, leave it, place, gently taking a treat, loose leash walking, and is kennel and house trained. Since completing her training she's added some tricks: paw, high five, roll over, speak, and will even back flip off your chest. She has mastered verbal comands and hand gestures. Bria is probably a pointer/hound mix, born 9/2/20. She is full grown at 55 pounds, is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots. Bria is looking for a lap she can sit in after a fun filled day, any size will do! *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This dog is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County is SC for an adoption fee. Story
Courtesy Post: Nope This handsome pup is Nope. He has the cutest heart nose and brown spots. He is very friendly with people and will stay by your side as long as you pet him. He loves to play and is always happy. Nope loves to go on walks and is crate trained. He is a young mix, possibly Pointer, with a birthdate of 4/28/24. He weighs 46 lbs and he is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his shots. Because of his age, he would probably like a yard with a fence and a person or family to play with him. If you are looking for a friendly pup, come meet Nope. Please contact info@hsmcsc.org for more information. This pup is posted as a courtesy and is not affiliated with the Humane Society of McCormick County (HSMC). The HSMC is not liable for this pup and an adoption of this pup would be independent of the HSMC. This courtesy post is in collaboration with the McCormick County Sheriff's Office to help cats and dogs in our community find good homes.January 7, 2025, 11:07 pm
