Story
Benji is a 2 1/2 year old Pointer mix. He weighs 62 pounds and came in with another dog, he was sent back with his owners but ended up back at the shelter as a stray a few days later. This sweet boy seems to enjoy other dogs , we are unsure of cats. He’s excitable and can use some manners but loves to please his caretaker. He’s enjoyable to walk and loves treat time ! The kennels are so hard to adjust to but he’s doing well .We hope he doesn’t have to stay too long ,If you are interested in meeting Benji and can give him a forever home, please apply here : https://www.cognitoforms.com/griffinpondanimalshelter1/griffinpondanimalshelteradoptionapplicationfordogs

Story
Spector is an incredible family dog. He is SO gentle, calm, and sweet, yet playful and athletic. Super affectionate and a real velcro dog. Spector lost his home in NC, due to the hurricane. He lived with kids and a loving family, who lost everything and could no longer keep him. He is truly one of the best, most gentle dogs you could ask for. Playful and active, but not hyper. Great with everyone and with dogs, and cats. Sweet as can be and a must meet, for he is so handsome in person and will melt your heart for sure. Spector is 4 years old and about 65 lbs. Just an awesome boy...  LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER (Pregnant Dog Rescue) is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility. We exist only on the kindness of your donations and adoptions! We pride ourselves on being an HOLISTIC center and feed only holistic foods and various vitamins and supplements to all of our dogs. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER dogs are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health.  We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! LMAC has an application screening process.  All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit.  We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home. Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile. We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs.  Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility.  We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam!  (We all know how emails can be at times!) Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested, and free of fleas and ticks.  We temperament test our  dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough).  They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily.  All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $695 (most being $595).  (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)   December 10, 2024, 2:54 pm

Story
We’re so excited to introduce Sunny D, our newest adoptable pup who also celebrated his FIRST birthday with his friends today! This handsome 60 pound (suspected) pointer mix is the ultimate play enthusiast, and every day is a new opportunity for fun in his world! Sunny D has already stolen hearts here at the shelter, and he’s no stranger to winning people over. His previous rescue described him as a joyful, high-energy companion who adores the outdoors and turning every outing into an adventure! Whether it’s hiking, long walks, or sniffing out new trails - his curious nature guarantees there’s never a dull moment with him by your side! Sunny D loves playtime and thrives in the company of dogs who enjoy running and playing (meet and greet is required at shelter for potential canine siblings). His high energy makes him a great match for families with older kids who can keep up with his enthusiasm, and he’s eager to learn and train. He’s a loyal and protective companion, making him an excellent choice for those who appreciate a dog with a watchful yet loving spirit! Adopt this sweet boy to make his birthday wish of finding a forever home come true! Sunny D is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. If interested in adopting, please go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form (located under the ‘adoptable dogs` section).
