Charlie just turned 8 on November 1st. He isn't gun shy. He gets along with Female Dogs more than other male dogs. Never been crated and he’s house trained up to 12 hours. He will come with food and treats that he is currently eating. He loves being outside but loves sleeping inside. He loves to put a front arm on each of your shoulders and give you a hug and lick your ears. Hell of a guard dog when it comes to letting you know if there is a person or another animal on your property. He’s not getting along with our original dog, this is the reason why we are getting him a new home. He’s not a bad dog and he loves children. He’s been with us since he was a puppy. He was a rescue straight from the abuser. He will bark at you until you pet him. Has never bit anyone nor snipped at anyone. Adoption fee will be waved if your a good match for him!

Story
Rocky has been a long stay in boarding while we got this little chowder head to focus. Apparently his live had started with best guess, young boys, because his exuberance was over the top. We have finally gotten him under control. Other dogs still correct him at times because he just can't get that meet & greet scenario down pat, again exuberance. He is a very loving dog and would love the opportunity to live with someone who loves the outdoors and hiking. Sorry no apartments for this boy.

While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. He is about 4 or 5 years old. An English Pointer Hound we think. Very affectionate and smart, loves to cuddle. Has some separation anxiety. He is good with kids, very tolerant of them. Cats he is good with once you go through the introduction process, he got on well enough with our elderly cat. He has some food and toys protectiveness, particularly with other animals. I would recommend a fenced-in yard since he is used to one.
