Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.1/29/25 Meet Petey! This lovable boy will melt your heart with his sweet soul and affectionate nature. At just 6-8 months old, Petey is a playful and active pup who enjoys plenty of fun before settling down for cozy snuggles. He's making great progress with basic manners like not jumping, sitting, and walking nicely on a leash. Petey is kennel-trained, fully house-trained, and always ready to please. We do not know his breed. This website makes us pick a breed.  When his pictures were put in an app, it said Mountain Cur/Pointer mix. He is likely a mix of several breeds. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and adores everyone he meets. Petey is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and heartworm negative—ready to bring joy and love to his forever home!Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Story
Rocky has been a long stay in boarding while we got this little chowder head to focus. Apparently his live had started with best guess, young boys, because his exuberance was over the top. We have finally gotten him under control. Other dogs still correct him at times because he just can't get that meet & greet scenario down pat, again exuberance. He is a very loving dog and would love the opportunity to live with someone who loves the outdoors and hiking. Sorry no apartments for this boy.

Story
Princess was surrendered to a rescue when her owner could no longer care for her. She was living in a bad situation and kept in a crate most of the time. Before this, she was raised with her owner and had exposure to grandchildren and some family, but Princess was not socialized outside of the home. She came to the rescue very frightened of everything and everyone, she was almost feral (wild) in her behaviors. She slowly came out of her shell and learned that noone was going to hurt her - now she is happy, playful and full of personality with everyone she knows. She is still fearful of strangers, but with patience and time we know she will very quickly learn to trust a new person and become a wonderful family dog for someone very lucky.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- YAVIS IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR AN INDIVIDUAL ASKING TO REHOME THEIR DOG.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW.From his caretaker: 'His name is Yavis. He is about 4 or 5 years old. An English Pointer Hound we think. Very affectionate and smart, loves to cuddle. Has some separation anxiety. He is good with kids, very tolerant of them. Cats he is good with once you go through the introduction process, he got on well enough with our elderly cat. He has some food and toys protectiveness, particularly with other animals. I would recommend a fenced-in yard since he is used to one. We cannot keep him as we do not have enough time and bandwidth for him, which isn't fair to him.'PLEASE CONTACT HIS CARETAKER: caitlin.s.s.growden@gmail.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 16, 2024, 3:23 am
