I can be a little temperamental and quirky when meeting new people, so I'd do best in a calm, quiet home where I can take my time to settle in. Patience is essential as I warm up to you and adjust to my new surroundings. Once I do get comfortable, though, I'm all about those big hugs and snuggling up in your lap for attention. I might be a bit moody at times, especially after spending so long at the shelter, but deep down, I'm a sweet boy who just wants to feel loved. A home without little toddlers would be ideal for me since their quick movements can be a bit overwhelming. I'd thrive as the only furbaby, soaking up all the love and attention you have to offer. If you think you have the patience and understanding for a unique guy like me, reach out to my friends here at the shelter. My name is Robbie and I am puppy at heart and only 6 months old. My pictures make me look big but ready I am not big at all. I only weigh 35 pounds at 6 months and they say I will be 65-70- pounds as an adult. I LUV KIDS! My heart leaps for joy when I See children that I can play with and love on. I am a boy that loves to run fast and for a little bit of time too. I need not only physical Exercise but also some fun games and training games to help my smart brain feel challenged too. I need a fenced yard and someone To help share playtime and games with me sometimes. I could use the company of another dog as well to help me with the physical Playtime outside and also to keep me active with socialization with other dogs. We think that Robbie has some Pointer in him since He raises once leg and seems to point quite often during this outside playtime. He is alert and very smart. He walks pretty well on a leash and he is curious to learn more things about life. He is not inside a lot so we would have to say that he could be housebroken fast if given some one on one Attention and training. This boy is good with cats, dogs and adores children. He never meets a stranger and he will needs a fenced yard To best live within safely and to run and play for long hours if the weather is good. We want a wonderful dog savvy and loving family for Robbie. He will be a 65 pounds boy when fully grown we think. Rocky has been a long stay in boarding while we got this little chowder head to focus. Apparently his live had started with best guess, young boys, because his exuberance was over the top. We have finally gotten him under control. Other dogs still correct him at times because he just can't get that meet & greet scenario down pat, again exuberance. He is a very loving dog and would love the opportunity to live with someone who loves the outdoors and hiking. Sorry no apartments for this boy.
