Story
O’Malley is believed to be closer to 6 months old and is a Pointer mix. O’Malley had a very hard life before coming to Needy Paws. He was a bit shy and very underweight. After he put on weight he was neutered and micro chipped. Now he’s loving life like no other. He is a very happy boy, loves everyone and everything. He excitedly jumps for joy when he sees you. We are working very hard on the jumping. And he likes to hold onto you because he doesn’t ever want to lose you. We are also working on that. He likes to hold your hand, shirt or pants leg. He is potty trained and will use a potty pad if needed. He is kennel trained but doesn’t like to be in it if no one is around. He will shred anything in it, if left alone for long. So, he would do better in a home were someone is home with him. Since he likes to jump, he’d be better in a home with teenagers rather than little kids. He is cat friendly but will chase if they run. He’s dog friendly. He doesn’t like car rides. They make him nervous and he needs a belly band on for rides.  He sleeps in bed with his foster mom and 3 foster siblings and one cat. He walks well on a leash. He knows sit and is learning hand signal to sit and calm down.  O’Malley will be a great dog for someone who will keep working with him on his obedience. If you are interested, complete the   Adoption Application   on our website at   www.NeedyPaws.org   and we will contact you.   Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. O'Malley's adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
This sweet little girl is Kyli. She is pretty tiny and weighs about 33 lb. She is about a year old and was found as a stray with her one puppy. She is house broke and crate trained. She would probably do better with older children. Kyli gets along with dogs and cats. She is currently in a foster home with smaller dogs and a cat who thinks she's a dog. Kyli is the ideal houseguest.  She's well behaved and very quiet. This sweet girl is heartworm positive and has had her first heartworm injection but will need her second and third around January 13th. She can be adopted to the right home before that. And we will get her to her next injections and of course pay for the rest of her heartworm treatment. She is so easy and loves to sleep on her doggy bed. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
