Story
Wild child Draceo is not a pup for the faint of heart! This brilliant boy is learning all sorts of stuff in his foster home, but still has a ways to go before we`ll call him polite...Draceo is a fun loving boy who enjoys the company of other dogs. He`s super smart and has mastered sit and is learning down, paw, and spin. Draceo is a good whose eyes actually point in slightly different directions so he`s quite the goober.Reach out to Draceo`s foster for more information!See more photos of Draceo here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/196721606@N08/albums/72177720322169282/

Story
Meet Charlotte! Charlotte is a sweet girl that needs a bit of confidence and guidance. Foster mom and resident pups are helping her to feel safe and secure, along with good manners. She's learning that her crate is a safe space and learning how to potty outside - after all, she's still a baby with lots to learn! Foster mom is teaching her how to walk on leash, sit, down, wait and touch and she is doing very well, and rewards foster mom with a lot of snuggles! Charlotte will thrive with an experienced dog person who can help her be the best pup she can be! The adoption fee for this puppy is $475, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. A $250 spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption. This fee covers spay/neuter at one of PetConnect's preferred veterinary partners. If the adopter chooses to use their own veterinarian, the deposit will be returned with proof of sterilization. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. For more information, please email ekerwin@petconnectrescue.org **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Luna is a 4-year old female Pointer mix and was living in a cage long hours daily. We are fostering her a few months. She is very affectionate but still a bit timid and afraid of a a few things like vacuum cleaners and trucks. She is very gentle and has never bitten anyone or anything. Her hunter instincts were brought out while in our foster home and, she would be very happy to have a safe space where she can run and fulfill her breed need for exercise. She is a high energy dog and daily physical and mental stimulation is very appreciated. She really enjoys outdoor activities like running, hunting, chasing, sniffing and playing outdoor games. She enjoys going out on trails. She also enjoys a comfortable couch to lay down, snuggle and relax after some outdoor activities. She is truly affectionate! She did very well with a puppy in the neighborhood and with 3 kids. Luna is the most intelligent dog we have ever fostered.

Story
Hi y’all, my name is Dory, I'm a 1 year old, 50 lbs., German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) mix and I’m looking for a loving place to call my forever home. You see, the first few months of my life weren’t easy. My first human was young when she got me and brought me home to live with her, her grandmother, and another dog. I later found out that she never asked her grandmother’s permission to bring me home. Although I felt like an outcast, I stayed close to my first human to feel safe until she stopped coming around--- I guess I stopped being the new and shiny thing in her life. With her gone, tension built up at home. Her grandmother resented me, and her dog really disliked me. In fact, the other dog bullied and hurt me a few times.  For some dogs, losing their home is traumatic. However, I felt a huge sense of relief when I was surrendered because I was no longer walking on eggshells. The wonderful South Carolina animal shelter welcomed me in and showed me that the world isn’t scary. With their care and love, I blossomed! I love the outdoors and I love playing with other playful pups. After some waiting, the shelter transferred me to A Home of Their Own Animal Rescue to increase my chances of finding my forever home. I am now in a foster home with a lovely family, including 2 small humans. They're all great, especially the little humans! They're fun. My foster mom says that I am a sweet and easygoing girl, fully house broken, crate trained, and adorable. I don’t jump up on my foster family either! I like to calmly greet you at the door with a big waggly tail. I love children, belly rubs, long walks and food! I walk so well on a leash- I don’t pull, but sometimes I get excited to see squirrels or deer (who doesn't?!). I love meeting other dogs and cuddling with my humans. Reach out to the nice people at AHOTO so you can meet me!!  ##2143152##

Playtime is her favorite time, and she loves making human and canine friends alike. At her young age, Spyro is in her prime for training and socialization too.
