Undine, born on October 3, 2022, is a super outgoing female dog who loves everyone she meets. Up to date on vaccines and worming, she is also spayed. Undine would be a great fit for an active family who enjoys spending time outdoors but also appreciates some quiet lap time with their furry friend. Story
Meet Max! Max is an "honorary" beagle, but we could not pass up those beautiful floppy ears. Our best guess is that Max is mainly Pointer with a little herding dog thrown in. He's 7-8 years old, about 45 lbs, and neutered. Max is an active dog with an active mind, so he will need an owner who appreciates these things about him. He loves toys, games and running, but will do ANYTHING for string cheese! He's got a fun personality, loves people, and takes treats oh so nicely. Max knows a few simple commands and with the magic cheese is learning more. As a hunting dog, Max does have a strong prey drive, so we will not place him with cats, small dogs, small furry others, or reptiles. Max will do well in a home with a large, securely fenced yard. He didn't have the best life up until now, but thanks to the good folks at the shelter and Beagle Rescue he is on the way to finding his forever family.

Story
Lulu Lulu is an adult 5 year old Pointer mix. Her family adopted her in 2019 and was returned because they had a baby and Lulu just did not understand. Of course she is sad, guarded and trying to figure out what happened and why her family left her. We are working with Lulu, but she could use a placement in a patient and saavy home to help her be a happy dog again.

Story
Kimberly is the cutest, cuddliest, most loving dog you will ever get the honor of adopting! She is house-trained and does good inside the house when no one is around, and also knows sit, down, place, paw, off, heel, come, and has done a variety of different agility courses. She's a fast learner, very smart, and very obedient when not exposed to too many triggers. She has lots of energy for outdoor hikes, but is also happy to just lie on the couch and be a potato with you all day. She loves to cuddle and will greet you whenever you come home with the wiggliest of butts and bring you all her favorite toys! While loyal and loving, Kimberly does not come without her quirks. She is an anxious and reactive dog, with her primary trigger being other dogs, and when over-stimulated, other people as well. She does not like confined spaces, but is showing a lot of progress with her crate-training. Kimberly has been able to meet other dogs when introduced slowly and properly, and is muzzle-trained. She also is okay with children when introduced slowly, and trust is able to be formed. She would thrive in a house-hold where she is the only dog and is not in a busy/urban area, and with someone who has prior experience with dog anxiety or reactivity. Thank you for your interest in Kimberly! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=17089 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Kimberly, or to submit an online application. HART adopts to the local DC/VA/MD metro area only. Visit our website for more information about our adoption process.

Please contact Caitlin Finn (caitlin.finn@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.young boy ready to play! KENTUCKY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Kentucky       Best Guess for Breed:   Pointer and lab mix Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of December 2024   Gender:    Male Approximate Weight:    51 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids but he can be tested if you have them. Kentucky is a bit too interested in his feline friends so a home without cats is best. Currently Living At: Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to come up after completing heartworm treatment Special Adoption Considerations: Kentucky is heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs.  All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care.  After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months.  We are happy to discuss this treatment and which phase of the study this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left! Kentucky is Looking For: His forever family! He's got all that awesome young-dog energy and is eager to have his own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and exploring the world - he hasn't seen nearly enough of it. He'd love to make pup pals along the way, too. Quality kibble, cushy dog beds, peanut butter-filled Kongs - yes, please. But you know what he wants most of all? To know where he belongs, to know he's safe and loved for all his days. What do you say? Is he the one you see by your side? What My Foster Says About Me:We will update this once he has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with his foster Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Story
My name is Robbie and I am puppy at heart and only 6 months old.  My pictures make me look big but ready I am not big at all. I only weigh 35 pounds at 6 months and they say I will be 65-70- pounds as an adult.  I LUV KIDS!   My heart leaps for joy when I See children that I can play with and love on.  I am a boy that loves to run fast and for a little bit of time too.  I need not only physical Exercise but also some fun games and training games to help my smart brain feel challenged too.  I need a fenced yard and someone To help share playtime and games with me sometimes.  I could use the company of another dog as well to help me with the physical Playtime outside and also to keep me active with socialization with other dogs.   We think that Robbie has some Pointer in him since He raises once leg and seems to point quite often during this outside playtime.  He is alert and very smart.   He walks pretty well on a leash and he is curious to learn more things about life.  He is not inside a lot so we would have to say that he could be housebroken fast if given some one on one Attention and training.  This boy is good with cats, dogs and adores children.  He never meets a stranger and he will needs a fenced yard To best live within safely and to run and play for long hours if the weather is good.  We want a wonderful dog savvy and loving family for Robbie.   He will be a 65 pounds boy when fully grown we think.   If you are interested in knowing more about Robbie please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Mention where you live.  We transport from Nashville, TN where we are based and we travel to the Northeastern region as well with our pre-adopted dogs.   Thank you for considering this precious boy   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 30, 2024, 2:10 pm
