Story
Lucie is a lovely 46 pound, seven year old pointer mix.  She had been living with a family for the last four years, but sadly her adopter became quite ill and could no longer care for her.  This sweet girl is used to living in a home and doesn't know why she is in a kennel.  She is housebroken, friendly with other dogs, likes to ride in a car, and enjoys getting out for walks.  As a mature lady, she is not overly energetic - she still enjoys walks, and has shown us that she can easily go on a 3.7 mile hike, but is also happy to settle down in the house and relax and snuggle with her people.  Lucy really needs a soft place to land - someone who is going to enjoy her companionship for the rest of her life. Sweet Lucie is generally easygoing and will make a wonderful companion in an adult home.  She would do best as an only dog and prefers to be cat free.  She can be possessive of objects, and needs her person to respect that and not try to take things away from her.  This was managed for 4 years in her adopted home with no problem.  We think Lucie would do best with someone with some experience as a dog parent. ##456255##

Story
Lulu Lulu is an adult 5 year old Pointer mix. Her family adopted her in 2019 and was returned because they had a baby and Lulu just did not understand. Of course she is sad, guarded and trying to figure out what happened and why her family left her. We are working with Lulu, but she could use a placement in a patient and saavy home to help her be a happy dog again.
