Meet Boo: The Adventure-Seeking, Fun-Loving Pup Who Needs a Job!
Say hello to Boo, a 10 month old English Pointer/Great Dane mix (born March 2024) with a heart as big as his paws (and a belly for snacks, but we’ll get to that). At around 75 lbs, Boo is a big, lovable goofball with the softest, most buttery smooth coat you'll ever pet. Seriously, you’ll never want to stop petting him!
Boo is still learning the ropes of leash walking and would benefit from a bit more training in that department. He’s also a notorious fence jumper—once he figured out he could leap his foster mom’s 4-foot fence, he made it his mission to explore the neighborhood. A 6-foot fence or room to run freely would be ideal for this curious, active guy. He’s great with all types of dogs, but hasn't been tested with cats.
If you’ve got a ranch, farm, or a big backyard, Boo would love to work for his meals. He’s eager, smart, and has a lot of energy to burn. He’s ready to be your loyal companion and would thrive in a home that can provide him with both mental and physical stimulation.
Now, let’s talk about Boo's quirky side. He loves to snack on poop - any kind! His foster mom affectionately calls him “Booby Boo,” because, well, he’s a cheeky little guy with a personality that’s hard to resist.
While Boo’s love for poop may be his most unique trait, he’s also a fun-loving, energetic pup who would thrive in an active household (or farm!) where he can get his zoomies out. He’s fully potty trained, heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his shots. He’s also a winter wonder-dog—he loves hanging outside in the cold and snow like it’s no big deal.
If you're looking for a goofy, lovable pup who’s just a little bit... extra, Boo might be your guy. Could he be the perfect fit for your family? Fill out an application today—Booby Boo is waiting for you!

The suggested adoption donation for Boo is $465, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.
Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.
Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
